Cecil’s face was still cold, but he replied, “Have a seat.”
“Thank you,” Linda said meekly.
Noticing that the spoon she had eaten from earlier was still in his hand, she reached out and grabbed it before explaining sheepishly, “I’ve already eaten from this, so I’ll use it instead of staining another one…”
The servants were flabbergasted at her behavior.
Blissfully unaware of their judgmental stares, Linda sat at the other end of the table and began to eat. Because of the pain in her hands, it was a little difficult for her to eat on her own.
Although she was hungry, she had no choice but to eat at a slow pace.
Cecil stared at her mutedly before asking a servant to bring the spare cutlery. Then, he dug into his own meal.

Cecil frowned at her. “Don’t your hands hurt?”
“They do, but if I don’t wash the dishes, I’ll have to do other chores that might be harder for me.”
Cecil snorted, leaving Linda dumbfounded.
She didn’t know whether to go ahead or wait.
Fortunately, Cecil spoke again soon. “Since your family has been given two days, you should just rest and recover for now. On the third day, I will take you back to your home. At that time, your fate will be decided by whether or not Leona appears before me.”
Linda bit her lip, confused about what to hope for.
‘Should I hope that Leona comes back? Or not?’
She stole a glance at Cecil, whose handsface was stony and expressionless.
Seeming to have sensed her eyes on him, he suddenly looked up.
Linda was so embarrassed that she immediately lowered her
head and looked around as casually as possible. She didn’t know that there was nothing but contempt in Cecil’s eyes as he looked at her.
“Miss Ye, you didn’t marryjust because of the Ye family, right?”
Linda’s heart raced.
She didn’t know how to answer his question. ‘Did he…figure out the truth?’ Without worrying further, she looked up and met his gaze.
“No matter what, it won’t change any of your decisions,” she said evenly.

Hearing this, Linda pursed her lips. After thinking for a moment, she asked, “Mr. Bo, can I ask you how you found out that I’m not Leona?”
“What does it matter to you?” Cecil leaned forward with his elbows on the table and narrowed his eyes at her.
“I’m directly involved,” Linda replied.
Cecil picked up a piece of tissue. Wiping his hands with it slowly, he said, “You two might look exactly the same, but Leona has a red mole on the back of her ear. You don’t have it.”
Hearing this, Linda realized how keen-eyed Cecil was.
Or was it because he liked Leona so much that he remembered even the smallest mark on her body? Hiding the disappointment she felt, she nodded.
“I see.”
By the tLinda spoke, Cecil had already stood up. As he walked past her, he sharply reminded, “Miss Ye, if Leona doesn’t show up in front ofin two days, I won’t sit and talk to you like this.”
Just as Cecil was leaving the dining room, Linda said boldly, “Mr. Bo, you are the most eligible bachelor in Los City. You won’t lose to anyone in terms of your talent, appearance, and wealth. Why are you so set on marrying a woman who doesn’t want to marry you?”
