Chapter 1177 A Car Accident
Evelyn drove the car into the open-air parking lot in front of the supermarket. It was close to the end of the
workday, and there were a lot of cars in the parking lot. Finding a vacant spot became the biggest challenge.
She drove around the parking lot twice but didn't find any vacant spaces. Just as she was about to head towards the
underground parking lot to check, she was about to make a turn when suddenly a large vehicle came from the
opposite direction.
The other vehicle was in the wrong lane, and it was moving at high speed. If she forcefully turned, they would
collide. Evelyn didn't have time to hesitate and immediately swerved to the right, but even so, she couldn't
completely avoid the oncoming vehicle.
The front of the other car hit her left headlight and slid all the way to the driver's door. The impact was so intense

Due to her sudden swerve, the right headlight of her car hit the nearby streetlight pole. Fortunately, her car was
moving at a relatively slow speed, which prevented any harm to Lucas, who was sitting in the passenger seat.
The other party was forced to stop the car. Through the windshield, Evelyn could vaguely see a couple sitting in the
front seats. The man seemed visibly stunned, while the woman appeared to be saying something.
Evelyn endured the swelling pain in her leg and looked at Lucas, who was obviously a little scared. "Are you all
right?"
Lucas was still in a daze. He looked outside and then looked at her. His big eyes immediately turned red. "Mom, did
we have a car accident..."
When Evelyn saw his tearful eyes, her heart ached. "It's okay. It's just a small accident. Did you hit anything?"
Lucas shook his head honestly. "No..."
"That's good. I'll go handle it. You stay in the car and be a good boy, okay? Don't come out, understand?" Evelyn
unbuckled her seatbelt and carefully instructed Lucas.
Lucas nodded. "I understand, Mom. Be careful."
"Don't worry."
After she got out of the car, the man and woman on the other side also got out of the car. They had been driving in
the wrong direction, and making a sharp turn at such a narrow corner without any warning and at high speed was
extremely dangerous.
Evelyn thought that the two of them would apologize sincerely and then see how they would deal with the damage
to each other's car. Unexpectedly, before the man opposite could speak, the woman scolded sharply, "Oh, what
kind of driver are you? Look at the position you're in. We were driving just fine, and suddenly you made that turn!
What were you thinking?"

This kind of sophistry stunned Evelyn for a moment, but the next second, she understood what was going on.
The other party was probably worried that her car was expensive and feared she might demand compensation, so
they were trying to play the victim first and make false accusations.
Evelyn had planned to solve it peacefully, but now she changed her mind. Since they had a bad attitude, she didn't
need to waste her words. She took out her phone and said, "No need to talk anymore. Let's call the police."
As soon as she finished speaking, the woman was stunned. She didn't expect her to be so direct and without any
nonsense.
The woman immediately panicked. "What, what did you say? Call the police? We don't have time to waste on you!"
Without changing her expression, Evelyn looked at them calmly and asked, "What do you want to do?"
At this moment, the man who had been standing silently on the side finally spoke, and his tone was even worse
than the woman's. He said, "You stupid woman can't drive properly, and yet you want to blame others, huh?"
With a cold face, Evelyn couldn't help raising her tone. "Watch your language!"
"So, what if I curse at you!" The man said as he walked towards her. "I'm going to hit you. Believe it or not!"
