Chapter 1145 Cherishing the Person by Your Side
Becoming a vegetable state make it better?
She only had a heartbeat and breathed, but she could no longer speak or open her eyes.
When Evelyn thought of the beautiful girl who had appeared in front of her not long ago, her eyes turned red in an
instant.
Huston raised his hand and caressed her face. "I didn't want to tell you because I was afraid you would cry."
"How can people accept such a result..." Even Evelyn was in the same situation. She didn't dare to imagine how
Bert would feel.
"He fainted. The doctor just gave him an injection to calm him down," said Huston lightly, seeing what she was
thinking.

Lucas. She felt overwhelmed with guilt.
"The other party came for Bert; kidnapping Lucas was to blackmail him. You don't have to be too moral and blame
yourself for the kidnapping," Huston felt equally uncomfortable but didn't want to see Evelyn blaming herself,
"Evelyn, for people like Bert and me, walking with the person we love till the end is not an easy thing. Sometimes,
we want to love but find that the person is no longer there. I managed to get through everything with great
difficulty. Cherishing the person in front of me is the most important thing to me."
Seeing Bert and Alivia standing on the brink of life and death, Huston felt a deep empathy, which made him cherish
Evelyn even more. After all, there was nothing more fortunate than having a loved one by his side.
Evelyn met his affectionate but fragile black eyes and forced a smile with tears in her eyes. "I understand."
Alivia was transferred to another hospital on the fifth day. Her physical condition had stabilized, so Kevin hoped the
Lane's Hospital would participate in her treatment. After all, the Lane Group was the most advanced one in the
country.
Despite the awkwardness between Bert, Huston, and Kevin, the matter concerning Alivia was of utmost importance.
Without much hesitation, Bert agreed.
This was not the time to be angry.
After Alivia was successfully transferred to the Lane's Hospital, Kevin breathed a sigh of relief. He was afraid that
something unexpected would happen, so he sent the best experts over. Almost all the best neurology experts at
home and abroad were gathered here.
Alivia's condition was extremely unfavorable, and anyone with medical knowledge who looked at the examination
results would understand that. Achieving complete recovery and consciousness in her current state was very
difficult, not only from a technical standpoint but also like a challenge that went beyond the limits of the human

Due to the massive impact, Alivia's brain had essentially entered a state of "hibernation," and awakening it was an
incredibly challenging task.
The experts, in groups of three, proposed various plans, but upon careful consideration, the success rate was not
promising, leading all of them to be abandoned. As a result, Alivia could only rely on mechanical support in the
hospital room to maintain basic vital signs.
Huston learned some progress from Kevin. To his surprise, Bert did not ask about Alivia's condition for the past few
days.
As an incredibly intelligent man, seeing so many experts at a loss must have made Bert realize that the outcome
wouldn't be favorable. He chose not to inquire further, perhaps to hold onto a glimmer of hope.
Alivia had been absent from school for a week and hadn't returned home. They could no longer keep it hidden from
Romy and Henry, so they had no choice but to let the police inform them.
On that afternoon, after learning the news, Romy and Henry came to the hospital. They almost rushed into the
ward, looking at the body lying on the bed, wearing an oxygen mask and connected to numerous tubes and
medical devices, crying in anguish.
