Chapter 194
Inside the Stone family's factory at Rectenwald, the scene was tense.
Factory manager Hayes Adams was a bundle of nerves, bowing so low his head might touch the floor, his face a mask of fear, sweat pouring down like he was caught in a storm.
The factory floor was swarming with over a hundred toughs in black, their mere presence enough to send Hayes into a fit of shakes, his head bowed, too terrified to even look up.
Hayes never felt so cornered, not since he becmanager. In his wildest dreams, he couldn't have imagined facing off against Eaden's crew—the sEaden who was a household nin Drunham City.

Eaden's face was a mask of menace as he loomed over Hayes, his eyes glacial. "Hayes, you better start spilling the truth," he growled. "Or we can kick things off with a little game. What'll it be? An arm or a leg first?"
Just ten minutes ago, Eaden got the call from Calum to investigate the afternoon's incident at the factory involving Celena. He wasted no time, rounding up his crew of over a hundred and laying siege to the place.
Hayes was shaking like a leaf, sweat beading and fogging his sight, too scared to even wipe it away. "Mr. Eaden Wafer, I beg you, spare me! I swear, I had nothing to do with this. Sure, Ms. Celena Stone was here today, but I never laid eyes on her! I'm not lying. Ask any of the workers, I'm telling you the absolute truth!"
Eaden's stare was icy as he bore down on Hayes. "Cut the act, Hayes! If you value your life, out with it—and fast. My patience is wearing thin. Just so you know, I'm giving you a chance to save your skin. However, once he shows up," Eaden nodded toward the door, "your chances are gone. He's not someone you can mess with."
"I-"
Hayes, his face a picture of anxiety, sneaked a hand up to dab at his forehead, his mind a battleground.
Eaden saw his share of liars and knew one when he saw one. Hayes was not telling the truth.
"Playing with fire, aren't you?"
With that, Eaden stepped back, his silence heavy with threat.

Hayes shivered from a deep, icy dread that gripped his heart as he blurted out, "Mr. Eaden Wafer, I beg you, please put in a good word for me. It was all Yafe and Sherah's doing—they're the ones who slapped Ms. Celena Stone and warned her about the consequences of crossing them. I was just a bystander, too scared to say or do anything!"
"Too little, too late to cclean now," cthe curt reply.
Eaden shot Hayes a frosty look and commanded, "Kneel and stay put until the boss gets here."
Hayes nodded frantically, taking his place on the ground with utmost discipline.
Just then, a commanding figure emerged at the factory entrance, his presence as chilling as a winter gale.
Liam strode in, and Eaden, quick to read the room, fetched a chair for him. Eaden's gesture sent a fresh wave of terror through Hayes, pushing his panic to the brink.
