When Eloise was leaving, she bumped into Harvey at the elevator. He was holding sfiles and seemed like he

wanted to discuss something. Harvey stepped out of the elevator as Eloise stepped in.

Just as the elevator doors were about to close, he stuck his hand out to stop them. He hadn't seen her for a long

tand missed her a lot. He wanted to be close to her, but in the end, he just played it cool and asked, "How've

you been?"

Eloise leaned against the elevator wall. She looked at him wearily, and after a moment, she replied, "I'm okay."

Harvey's eyes were dark and intense. He spoke in a low voice, "I'll be at the celebration tonight too. Will you...

dance with Landon?"

Eloise was obviously taken aback. She hadn't made any plans with Landon. They weren't at that stage yet. But if

Landon was there, it would be normal for them to share a dance. So, Eloise didn't deny it.

Harvey's handsface darkened, but he didn't seem unhappy. Instead, he said tenderly, "Have fun," and then

he walked away.

A chill ran down Eloise's spine. She didn't know why, but Harvey, like this, seemed more terrifying than when he

was pestering her. His eyes told her he hadn't given up, but he was playing it cool.

Eloise almost didn't want to attend the banquet. But as the award recipient and with her performance today, the

city's elites would definitely not let her off. After a few calls pushing her, she had to obediently go.

The banquet was held on the 32nd floor of the Silver Bay Hotel. The place was buzzing, the atmosphere lively. It

Eloise didn't need to look to know. When they were together, Harvey was always very demanding, often staring

When the banquet was halfway through, Landon arrived. He had been very busy lately, and it seemed like he

dashing and mature, slowly walked down to the first floor, looking like a walking advertisement. Harvey walked

over to the piano, murmured a few words, and the young pianist stepped away. He sat down, his slender fingers

fell on the black and white keys, skillfully playing the song Under the Moonlight.

Harvey was playing the piano and gazing at Eloise with deep affection. He was already good-looking, and this

performance made the women scream.

His ex was dancing with someone else, while a passionate man played accompaniment for her, gazing at her

with those longing eyes. Who could resist this? Harvey had captured all the women's hearts! Just like he said,

what he wanted, he could easily get!

Eloise froze. She couldn't dance anymore!

What was supposed to be a wonderful night, a lovely banquet, was ruined by him! Harvey, why did he always

make her cry?

Eloise realized, there were tears in her eyes and the instigator was still sitting at

the piano, staring at her affectionately. His voice was gentle. "Eloise, are you having fun tonight?"

Eloise's heart pounded. She told herself not to make a scene. She couldn't make a scene in front of everyone!

She trembled, trying to squeeze out a smile, replying, "I think I'd have more fun if you weren't bothering me!"

Harvey lowered his eyes, smiling faintly. "I can't do it! Eloise, seeing you dance with others makes my blood boil!

But | don't know what to do, so I'll play the piano for you, hoping to bring a smile to your face! Did I... upset you?

If you're not happy, | can change, until you're satisfied, okay?"

This speech left everyone gobsmacked. Veronica pinched herself, mourning for Eloise. How the hell did her good

friend end up with such a complicated guy? This guy was way too sly!

If you didn't know the truth, you'd think it was Eloise who was treating Harvey badly!

Eloise turned and walked away. At that moment, she forgot everything and even forgot that they were live-

streaming. All she knew was that she wanted to get away from Harvey! As she left, tears welled up in her eyes.

Harvey caught her at the elevator. "Are you mad?"

Eloise shook him off. She turned and said, "Harvey, do you think this behavior is appropriate? You're such a

catch, and there are loads of girls who would fall to your feet. Can you please stop bothering me? I can't handle

your games. Please, can you stop? Please leavealone!"

Harvey pushed her into the elevator and shut the door, leaving the onlookers outside. Now it was just the two of

them in the elevator.

Eloise started to cry. Harvey's heart skipped a beat, he gently wiped away her tears and softly said, "There are

many women who want to spend the night with me, but | only want to be with you! Eloise, don't makeangry

anymore. | don't know what I might do when I'm angry! Recently, Landon hasn't been bothering you, right?"

Eloise's eyes widened in surprise.

Harvey's tone was still gentle. "I just took smeasures to keep him so busy he wouldn't have tto bother

you, Eloise. He might be even busier in the future, or encounter sproblems. | can't make any promises!"
