Chapter 305 I’m Sorry for What I Did
“Oh, so you like Maia. I didn’t expect someone as unconventional as you to have such a serious side,” Victoria looked at Aiken,
somewhat surprised, as her initial impression of him had not been a good one.
“I don’t have time to banter with you right now.” Aiken’s tone was serious.
Victoria was stunned by his words.
“I don’t have time for banter either, Aiken! How do you know that Maia is walking into a trap, and not reconciling with Cedric?”
“They’re divorced. That indicates that there were problems between them. Reconciliation? If there weren’t irreconcilable
differences, why would they have gotten divorced in the first place? And what can’t Cedric do with all the power that he has?
Maybe he forced himself onto Maia!”
“Maia has known Mr. Cedric since childhood. They went through life and death together. Mr. Cedric protected Maia with no
regard to his own life, suffered severe burns, and almost died.
Later, Mr. Cedric lost his memory and forgot about Maia.
“He thought Maia’s mother had used nefarious means against him to force him to marry Maia. That’s why he ignored Maia
throughout their troubled marriage. Maia suffered harm in the Larkin family and even had a miscarriage. That’s the real reason
for their divorce, not
irreconcilable differences.
“One mistake lead to another, but losing his memory wasn’t Mr. Cedric’s fault. He lost his memory while trying to save Maia!
Later, he recovered his memory, but Maia was gone. He lives in remorse and pain every day, tormented by despair and sorrow.
Is he really okay? Thinking about what he did to his beloved when he had amnesia, wouldn’t he feel any pain at all? Doesn’t he
hate himself?”
Victoria looked at Aiken, questioning him, step by step, closing in on him.
“Then Maia appeared, and Mr. Cedric risked his life countless times for her. I can tell you, two- thirds of the evidence in today’s
At this point, Victoria stopped talking.
She just stared at Aiken. “What right do you have to accuse Mr. Cedric? What he did for Maia is far beyond anything any of you
have done! I don’t deny that Mr. Cedric saved my life and allowed me to live safely in Prismara.
“I have a vested interest in speaking up for him, but every word I say is true. Baz followed Mr. Cedric for so many years, and I
have known him for many years. He won’t lie to me, and I have

Victoria spoke, and the room fell silent. Aiken remained silent. After a while, he spoke again. ” Then... do we just wait here?”
“Maia rushing to the twelfth floor to save Cedric is enough to explain everything.”
Hearing Victoria’s words, Aiken fell silent once again. Hope nodded in agreement with Victoria.
No one’s heart is made of stone. If they truly didn’t care, if there were really no feelings between them, why would they rush back
to the hotel and head straight to the twelfth floor? This behavior alone is enough to explain everything.
Later, Hope said, “I’ll head back to my room. Aiken, you should go back to your room too. It’s late. Wash up and get some sleep.”
“Aren’t you worried?” Aiken asked, looking at Hope.
Hope earnestly replied, “I was a bit worried about my sister before, but just now, Vicky made a lot of sense. Whatever decision
my sister makes to save Cedric, it must be a result of careful consideration.
“She never acts recklessly or does things without reason. She is the President of Starlight.
Entertainment, and as the President of the group, as one who can command respect from shareholders and everyone in the
group, do you think she is an ordinary person?”
Aiken was silent for a few seconds and shook his head, saying, “Of course not. If she were, how could I like her?”
“Then it’s all good. I respect and support every decision my sister makes. Aiken, you like my sister, right? Respect is a
prerequisite for liking someone. Liking someone doesn’t necessarily mean possessing them. Allowing her to be happy and joyful
with whoever she chooses is the true essence of liking someone.”
With those words, Hope waved at Victoria and then turned to walk toward the entrance of the
Aiken was stunned by Hope’s words. Victoria looked at Aiken’s expression and asked, “Aren’t you leaving?”
“Vicky.”
“What?”
“I’m sorry for what I did previously.” With these words, Aiken stepped away.
Victoria watched him leave, stunned for a few seconds. For a moment, she thought she had
misheard.
“He apologized to me?”

Somehow, Victoria felt her heart pounding in her chest, and her cheeks turned red in an instant. Victoria had to admit that Aiken,
this actor, was not entirely without charm. When he was unruly, he was awful, but when he was serious, he was exceptionally
attractive.
“Vicky, what are you thinking...” She quickly reached up, covering her blushing cheeks and gently patting herself. “Stop over–
thinking. Focus on keeping an eye on Fiona, wait for Mr. Cedric and Maia to handle this, and hurry up
with your
real work.”
After that, Victoria opened the door and looked at the bound Fiona. This intense staring contest lasted for the whole night. Until
the dawn broke with a hint of light, there was still no sign of Cedric and Maia.
Victoria sat on the sofa and crossed her legs. She did not know how many times she had dozed off, but Fiona seemed unusually
wired. After all, just thinking about what she would face next, how could she even consider sleeping?
“Behave yourself.” Victoria would occasionally say as she watched Fiona’s every move.
Knowing that she was no match for Victoria, especially as she was so tightly bound, Fiona could not possibly misbehave.
The morning went on. Cedric, being the first to wake up, opened his sharp eyes. A tranquil little face came into view, bathed in
sunlight that streamed into the room, revealing a large and messy bed, and the floor in disarray.
Everything from the previous night flooded into his mind. He raised his hand, gently tucking her scattered hair behind her ear,
and gazed at her. A smile involuntarily graced his lips.
“Mmm...” She was sound asleep, a lover of the morning hours, and now, with a hint of morning temper, she stirred slightly. Her
fair, smooth legs laid on the blanket, and she drifted back into a deep slumber.
