Chapter 113 We Slept Together

Cedric grinned and kissed her on the lips. His voice was deep. “Did you really think I was drunk and

unconscious?”

Maia was in a deep sleep. She didn’t know what was happening at all.

“Hundreds of cases, you said? Those are rookie numbers.” He’d buy thousands of cases of liquor!

She wore cotton pajamas. He frowned and said, “Out of my way!”

It didn’t matter if his shoulder was injured. He stripped her naked!

Maia was entirely out of it. She could sleep through a storm in her current state, much less in Cedric’s

grubby hands!

The summer sunlight found its way into the room through the curtain and shone on Maia’s fair face the

next day.

She squinted and lifted her hand to shield her eyes from the sunlight. She opened her eyes drowsily.

She was still exhausted.

Maia turned over. She was about to go back to sleep when she smelled a familiar scent!

She snapped wide awake and rose immediately. She was buck–naked! Maia held her blanket tightly

and kicked the man next to her to the floor!

“You bastard!”

He was a light sleeper. He knew very clearly how many times she had turned over in bed over the

night. What made her think he wouldn’t know what she was doing earlier?

He was just curious how she would react!

It was as he expected. His sweet little wife had turned into a feisty lady over the course of a year.

That’s not the end of it… She had also grown stronger. She could even kick him out of

bed!

“Honey?” He said it groggily. His voice could melt hearts. However, Maia’s rage consumed her. She

asked, “Who are you calling your honey?”

“We slept together. Who else?”

“You’re such a jerk, Cedric!” Maia yelled, “I took you in out of the kindness of my heart. How could you

climb onto my bed? Y–You even…”

She was too naive. She thought he would sleep through the night because he was drunk. After all,

hangovers were no joke. Little did she know, she would fall prey to him!

“Why did you stop?” Cedric was taking in her angry face, unperturbed. He couldn’t explain it, but she

looked adorable when she was mad. He simply couldn’t get enough of it.

“I’m going to kill you!”

She was in his embrace before she knew what had happened. Then she fell on top of him. Then, her

blanket fell off of her…

Maia was about to go crazy!

“Let me go, Cedric!” She yelled angrily. He looked at her and grinned. “Here’s the thing. I took your V–

card. So, why don’t we get married?”

“Dream on. I don’t care if I can’t clear my name. I would never marry you again! Enjoy your pipe

dream!”

Maia was beside herself with rage. She called him a jerk a thousand times in her mind.

Her phone rang.

Cedric was a tall guy. He reached out and managed to take the phone. His other hand was still holding

her waist tightly.

Maia bit her lips angrily and took a deep breath. She did her best and recomposed herself before

answering her phone.

“Hello? Maia speaking.”

“There’s a surprise visit segment this morning, Ms. Maia! The camera crew will go to your room with a

camera! I think they’re about to reach there!”

There was a knock on the door at this very moment. They’re already here.

“Freshen up,

Director Maia!” With that, the associate director hung up the phone.

The camera crew called out for Maia from out the door, “Surprise visit, Ms. Maia! Are you up? We’re

doing a morning call!“,

Morning call?

It looked more like morning terror to her! She’d rather kill herself than let the camera crew capture her

in her current state!

“Let me go, Cedric. The camera crew’s here!”

“Yeah. I’m aware.” He heard the knocking on the door as well as the crew’s voice, but he

wasn’t going to let her go anytime soon.

“Well, then. Why are you still holding me?”

He smiled and said, “You’re so pretty, honey. I can’t bear to let you go.”

Her hands were so delicate, and her skin was smooth as silk. Cedric held her head and kissed

her.

Bastard!

Maia bit his lips. It was a clean, decisive bite. There was blood on his lips.

She pushed him away while he was wincing from the pain. She grabbed the blanket, took her clothes,

and dashed into the restroom.

“Give me a second!” She shouted at the crew and closed the restroom door.

Cedric had smartened himself up while Maia was freshening up and putting on her pajamas. His shirt

was cut at the shoulder area, but no one could tell it once he put on the suit.

“What are you still doing here?” Maia got out of the restroom and said.

Cedric chuckled. “I’m going to get in the shot with you, honey.”

Say what now?

To hell with that! Why would she want to get in the shot with him?

“Are you ready, Ms. Maia?” The camera crew asked once more. Maia didn’t know what to do. She had

to figure out a way to hide a six–foot–two man!

However, the wardrobe in the homestay was compact. He couldn’t fit in there. The restroom was a poor

choice too.

What was she going to do if they broke in there? She wouldn’t be able to explain herself if they did!

Maia cast her glance at the balcony glass door. It occurred to her that his room was right next to hers!

She pointed at it and said, “Go back to your room!”

“That’s a balcony.” He said it nonchalantly.

“You’re nimble–footed. It’s easy as pie for you to go to your room through the balcony!” Maia saw him in

action before. He was really nimble.

With that said, Cedric wasn’t interested in doing that at all.

“Are you going to move, Cedric?” Maia put both of her hands on her waist and glared at him.

“Do I get anything for it?”

What a terrible guy! She still had yet to hold him responsible for stripping her naked! How

Cedric closed his lips around Maia’s before she could react.

“Mmph… Why, you…”

He’s such a bastard!

“This’ll do.”

He’d do anything if he could kiss her.

Maia looked at his dashing face. His lips were clearly marked from her earlier bite.
