Chapter 1139 They Are Going To Marry
They held hands as they walked into the mall and talked about Jenny's recent events as
they shopped. Once Stephanie learned everything, she said, "Evan really went too far. Did
he honestly think he could trap you in there forever?"
As Jenny's long-time friend, she knew that even if Jenny couldn't find an escape plan
quickly, she would never give up and spend the rest of her life with Evan.
Jenny smiled bitterly. She would probably never understand what went through Evan's
head, but she guessed that with all their years apart, Evan no longer understood her.
"Well, what about you and Alec? You didn't agree to be with him just because he saved
you, did you?" Stephanie didn't think that Jenny would be so impulsive. If she were the
type to agree to be in a relationship because of one kind gesture, she would have gotten

Jenny was quiet for a bit before speaking. "We probably fulfilled our destinies by being
together. If it weren't for Evan's scheme, I might have gotten together with him long ago.”
She was already preparing herself to agree to be with Alec. It was only because of Evan
that they had to drag things out.
Stephanie didn't think there was anything wrong with them being together. She was just
fascinated. "After all those twists and turns, you still ended up together. Is fate really so
magical?"
"Perhaps." Jenny wasn’t too sure of it herself.
"But it's good that you're with Alec. You're taking no losses.’ Stephanie could tell that Alec
would never leave Jenny.
Truth be told, she was rather envious. Love would really push people forward.
Jenny didn't talk about her and Alec anymore. She brought up Stephanie and Leonard.
"What about you and Leonard? Haven't things progressed yet? M
"Things are left like this for now. He's busy. And when he's not, we eat together and
sometimes watch movies together." Leonard had never actually told her that he liked her,
much less confess.
Stephanie liked him somewhat, but she couldn't be the one to say it.
"By the way, Jade and Max are going to marry. She asked me to go dress shopping with
her recently," Stephanie said.
Jenny was stunned. ’Marriage? So quickly? Why didn't I know about this?"
"You hadn't come back yet, so she didn't call to let you know." Stephanie and Jade met
each other through Jenny. Logically speaking, Jade and Jenny were closer to each other,
and the wedding dress shopping should have been Jenny's duty.

why Jade contacted Stephanie instead.
They could get along together. Even if Jenny weren't around, they would still meet up to
shop and grab a cup of coffee.
Jenny pursed her lips, feeling conflicted. "She and Max haven’t been together for very
long, have they? And they're planning to marry so soon?"
"Jade said that as long as you meet the right person, it doesn't matter when you marry.’
Stephanie didn't know what Jade was thinking, but the woman was pretty happy now. Max
probably treated her well.
At those words, Jenny thought of what Alec had said about marriage. At the time, Jenny
had wanted to take things slow. But now, when she heard about Max and Jade's wedding,
she wondered if she was overthinking things.
