"It's true that | was born during the ancient times on Earth.

But | lost my memories and don't even remember who | was,"

the old man spoke slowly and his eyes filled with more and more confusion.

"What?"

Austin was surprised.

"Boy, | bet you know that I'm just a broken soul."

The old man let out a sigh that seemed to make him deflate.

Austin nodded because he had already seen through the old man's real form.

"In ancient times, | seemed to have fought in an epic battle. In that battle, | got stabbed by a swordsman and died on the spot.

Fortunately, | acquired the Celestial Demon Body so my body wasn't destroyed.

But somehow, my body was locked up on the altar of this underground palace.

It took a long tbut eventually, a fragment of broken soul inside my dead body awakened and here | am.

I'm not myself because most of my soul is missing.

| don't know my name, why | went into that battle, who killed me, and why my dead body ended up being trapped here," the old

man explained softly.

Every word he said cemented the fact that he was at a loss.

As if whenever he tried to remember anything, he cup short.

"I see..." Austin couldn't find any other words say.

After just a bit of prodding using his spiritual sense, he found that the elder was strong but his soul was incomplete.

Since Austin couldn't bear to look at the old man any longer, he turned his attention to the flood dragon's dead body. On its head

was a deep cut left by a sword, and the stark whiteness of the bone drew his attention.

A terrifying sword intent emanated from the wound.

‘Looks like the strong sword aura that filled this underground palace was from the wound on the flood dragon's head.

Clearly, the swordsman finished it off with one strike.

It's been such a long tbut the sword intent that that master released still remains here, ' Austin mused to himself as he

observed the beast's wound.

"The person who took your life is an extraordinary swordsman."

Austin's soft voice was filled with awe.

"Judging from the wound alone, that swordsman must have must have remarkable swordsmanship,"

the old man said.

"I see..."

Austin's mind was filled with the terrifying sword intent emerging from the flood dragon's wound.

Not long after, he bid farewell to the old man. He left the underground palace with the remaining members of the Divine Moon Sect

and returned above ground.

Since the old man was just a broken soul that had nothing to do with the Divine Moon Sect, Austin thought there was no need to

give him a hard time.

"I know you have sway to contact the people at the headquarters.

Send a message to the headquarters and report what happened here now.

Tell them that one of the experimental rats cback alive,"

Austin coldly ordered without even a glance to the members of the Divine Moon Sect.

All the members trembled and hurriedly did as told for fear that Austin would lay his hand on them if they defied his orders. They

quietly moved as one and led him to an old altar on the mountain.

A fist-sized blue crystal ball could be seen on the altar.

A slender middle-aged man walked to the altar and knelt down, all the while lowly muttering something. After a few moments, he

placed his hand on the crystal ball.

In just a few seconds, the crystal ball emitted a dazzling blue light that soared into the sky, lighting up their surroundings.

A moment later, a phantom figure appeared above the crystal ball.

The figure wore a black robe and his face was hidden away by the hood of the robe. He rippled in the air.

"Turns out there's a teleportation array inside the crystal ball. Once it's activated, it can receive sounds and images, '

Austin quickly recognized the use of the crystal ball.

"What is it?" The figure clad in black robes asked.

From his raspy voice, Austin quickly deduced that the figure was a rather old man.

According to Austin's instruction, the middle-aged man reported the events to the elder.

Once the report was over, the black-robed man turned and fixed his sharp eyes on Austin.

"Are you really one of the rats before? You made it out of there alive? "

Excitement colored the figure's voice.

"Yes, | am.

| cback to set things straight.

I'm guessing that you're also interested in me, aren't you?

You can easily trackdown through these jade tokens," Austin spoke slowly as he moved forward.

He took out a handful of jade tokens. Each one belonged to the members of the Divine Moon Sect.

The man in black burst into laughter.

"Young man, you're fearless and dares to provoke us. You're right. We're very interested in you.

We'll cfor you soon,"

he chuckled.

"I'll wait for you." Austin's lips mirrored the man's smile.

After those words, he threw a punch at the crystal ball from the distance and the ball shattered into pieces.

Once done with that, Austin released his spiritual sense and scanned the remaining members in front of him.

Since his spiritual sense was powerful, he could read their mind and dig through their secrets.

Austin was far better than all of them in terms of sheer spiritual sense and vital energy realm.

They considered him a real god.

"All those who've done evil things must die today."

Austin's voice was devoid of any emotion.

Using his spiritual sense, he spotted several bad apples among them and he wasted no tbefore he began attacking his targets.

Blood and brain scattered each the pointed his finger towards someone until dead bodies littered the place.

Not long after, only over a hundred people were left standing in shock at the pool of gore. Every single one of them leaned against

each other on trembling legs as they stared in fear at Austin. Pale faces stood out against the brilliant red of blood covering every

inch of the floor.

Austin spared their lives because he could tell that none of them had done horrible things.

He spared them one more glance before he disappeared in one quick move from within the space array.

Austin took the hundreds of jade tokens with him instead of throwing them away.

As long as he had the jade tokens, the people in the Divine Moon Sect's headquarters could track him down.

He knew that the members of the Divine Moon Sect would cafter him eventually.

"Thank goodness! That devil finally left!"

Once they made sure that Austin really left, the rest of the stronghold's sect members could only heave out a sigh of relief. After a

short discussion with each other, they decided to quit the Divine Moon Sect and find a hidden place to cultivate at instead.

Almost all of them were just ordinary birds and beasts recruited by the Divine Moon Sect.

The day's events completely traumatized them and none of them would dare to get involved in the underground world of martial

arts again.

After leaving the stronghold of the Divine Moon Sect, Austin dove in the ground around Mount Wey's area to observe the five earth

dragons.

He was particularly curious about the evil energy which was as dark as ink.

The evil energy not only enveloped the five earth dragons, but flooded every inch of the ground below Mount Wey too.

Mount Wey was supposed to be a place with beautiful landscape but was now hto all kinds of evil spirits.

It wouldn't take a genius to realize that something must have happened.

He learnt the Earth Exploring Technique so he wanted to figure out the truth behind the huge shift in the mountain.

However, no matter how hard Austin tried, he couldn't find a single clue.

Moments later, Austin received a message on a Contact Jade Slip.

"It seems that the people from the Heavenly Mountain Sect are coming."

Austin sneered down at the Contact Jade Slip.

He left a Contact Jade Slip at hso that if anyone broke into his house, he would get a notification.

'The Heavenly Mountain Sect is known as one of the most powerful and prominent sects in the Brilliant Kingdom. | can't wait to see

what they got, *

Austin thought to himself.

The main purpose of his return was to find his family on Earth.

He reunited with his parents and brother.

He couldn't stay on Earth for too long because there was still so much to deal with in the outside world.

However, before he left, he planned to spend ststudying Earth's martial arts to see if he could find a clue about the

ancient divine gods.

Austin then took out his Space Ship and went back to his hometown, the Peace County.
