Chapter 11 They had started the meeting without him because they didn't think he'd make it. Aside Kage, he was the most arrogant member of the family.
He stood at the door, a wide smile on his face as he regarded the scene.
"Oooh. A mini-fight taking place. Hope I haven't missed the fun part?" He chuckled as he made his way in.
"Lancelot. You're late. Mr. Sam said.
"Yeah. I know, uncle. I know how to read a clock." Walking past them, he went over to the wine counter where he poured himself swine. He drank from his glass as he joined them.
"So, what did I miss?" He plonked into one of the chairs, next to a female cousin.
"We were just discussing a spy in the company. We don't know who it is yet." Kage answered, his cold eyes on him.

"Goodness" My dear dear Kage!" He stood up, heading over to Kage's seat.
There was an empty spot next to him, which he happily took "Bro. Ive missed you! It's been what, four years?" Lancelot had been out of the country for years and only returned a week ago.
He put a hand on the armrest, above Kage's shoulders.
"Don't tellyou didn't miss me, bro. I'm gonna be so hurt." A low chuckle rumbled from Kage's heart. "The only thing I missed is your funeral.
"Ouch. Lancelot put a hand to his chest, feigning being hurt.
Lancelot was a year older than Kage. For years, they competited and hated each other. Lancelot was the most heartbroken when he learnt his grandfather had willed half of the company to Kage. The sick old man - he had thought. "Get off my spot, Lan. I don't want you here," Kage's tone was cold and intimidating.
"Why? Don't like to share?" Kage glanced down at his hand still resting on the armrest.
Locking eyes with him, he said, "believe me, you wouldn't wantto ask again" Lancelot laughed, but it lacked humour. He was already upset and it stemmed form the fact that he knew how crazy Kage could be.
He stood up.
"How's your wife, tho?" He remained standing. "I heard you two got divorced already. That's quite sad, you know? Your wife and I...we have unfinished business" Hostility blurred in Kage's eyes, although he wouldn't deny feeling a little curious. What unfinished business was the asshole talking about? "Just take a sit, Lancelot, please. We chere to resolve an issue, not create one," one of the men said.
Chuckling, Lancelot returned to his previous seat.
It was Kage's turn to rise.
"The meeting can go on without me. I'm sure we all know, without a doubt, that I'm not the spy. And we also know whoever the spy is will never reveal his or herself in this meeting. So, I'd rather spend my tdoing something more important." He started for the door.

"Kage... You can't walk out on He paused at the door. "But just bear it in mind that whoever it is, if anything goes wrong with our forthcoming projects, I'll haunt you to the ends of the earth. I'll damn the consequences and have your blood in my hands: A chilling silence enveloped the room. Turning around, he walked away.

He put a call through to his secretary, the phone being on speaker and resting on the space beside him, while he operated his laptop on his thighs "What do I have for today, Joyce?" He inquired His secretary went ahead to list his appointments for the day, one of them being the contract signing by Mr. Ambrose. Only Mr. Ambrose was sending a representative the second party.
"Um... sir," the lady cleared her throat. "A... About Mr. Ambrose's representative.
She delayed, making Kage curious enough to stop working on his laptop.
"Spill it out Joyce, or get off my phone," he brusqued.
"It's... It's your ex-wife." Every sensation within Kage froze solid. He could swear his heart had stopped beating, and tseemed to pass by in a blur.
For a full minute, he was still, words unable to form in his head.
"Who did... Who did you say it was?" He struggled to speak pass the lump in his throat.
Kage never thought it'd be possible to feel that way.
"Your ex-wife, sir. Sylvie Hawkins. Sorry, Price. Sylvie Price." Slowly, Kage's heart began beating again. But his shock started shifting into anger.
She was back? How? Where had she been the whole time? Why didn't she...
His million questions were stuck in his head, driving him insane.
