Chapter 209
“I don’t need the driver. I’ll take him myself,” Esther declared, holding Felix’s hand as they entered the
elevator with Bradley.
Bradley departed in the car driven by the chauffeur while Esther stood there, gripping Felix’s hand
tightly until the car was no longer in sight.
Reluctantly, she withdrew her gaze, opened the car door, and carefully placed Felix in the child safety
seat. She leaned down to fasten his seatbelt and adjusted its angle.
“Mommy, are you not happy today?” Felix inquired.
Esther affectionately swiped Felix’s nose and replied, “No, Mommy’s very happy!”
Curiously, Felix asked in his innocent voice, “Then why are you happy?”
Esther gazed at Felix’s face with gentle eyes, a slight smile forming on her lips. Softly, she whispered,

Starting the car, Esther left the underground parking lot. However, her destination this time was not
Felix’s elementary school but the cemetery.
“Mommy…” After Felix got out of the car, he surveyed the unfamiliar surroundings, holding Esther’s
hand with a mix of anxiety and hesitation. He asked, “Mommy, are we lost?”
“No, we’re not,” Esther reassured him, holding his hand firmly as they made their way the cemetery.
Bradley, Felix’s biological father, seemed to have forgotten that today marked Tinkerbell’s three-month
memorial.
The poor Tinkerbell had departed from this world three months ago.
Ironically, Bradley chose today to marry Liliane out of all the available dates.
‘Bradley, I gave you a chance…
‘But in the end, you disappointed me!’

Felix, with his short legs, climbed the stairs with Esther. He looked up at her cutely and asked,
“Mommy, did you ask the teacher for permission?”
“Yes, I did!” Esther confirmed, not only having requested leave from Felix’s teacher but also considering
transferring him to another school.
“Thank you, Mommy.”
Esther and Felix arrived in front of a slender apple tree, its branches adorned with a few apples.
Felix observed the tree and asked in an adorable voice, “Mommy, did Tinkerbell turn into an apple?”
“No,” Esther replied softly, squatting in front of the apple tree and setting aside the flowers and items
she had brought. “Tinkerbell has gone to heaven and become a little star.”

Esther sadly nodded.
Tinkerbell had passed away, and Pixie’s whereabouts remained unknown.
Now, she only had Felix.
“Mommy, please don’t turn into a star.” Felix clung to Esther fearfully, burying himself in her arms.
Choking back his emotions, he pleaded, “I want Mommy to be by my side forever and ever.”
Esther reached out to caress Felix’s little face and couldn’t help but kiss him tenderly.
“Felix, do you know who I am?” Esther asked, unable to contain her curiosity.
Felix responded cutely, “Yes, I know. You’re my biological Mommy.”
Esther’s eyes widened in astonishment upon hearing his answer. She asked with wide eyes, ” Felix,
when did you find out that I’m your biological Mommy?”
“It was that day in the hospital. She said it herself, and I overheard it,” Felix promptly revealed, sharing
everything he knew with Esther.
