Felix gently stroked the furrow between Esther’s eyebrows with his chubby little hand.

‘Mommy, I love you. I’ll grow up quickly to become a man who can protect you.

‘Mommy, you have to wait for me to grow up, okay?’

With this thought, Felix tightly hugged Esther’s arm and fell asleep in no time.

Due to the assessment the next day, Esther couldn’t afford to sleep in. She opened her eyes when her phone’s

The morning service staff had informed Xara about Esther’s return, so she visited Esther’s bedroom.

“Esther, Bradley wanted to take Felix away not long ago, but I sent him away.”

Esther looked at Xara gratefully and said, “Xara, sorry for causing trouble to you and Steffan.”

“Felix is my godson. There’s no trouble.” Xara showed a hint of worry and reminded Esther, “I feel that he might

come over frequently now that he knows Felix is here.”

“Let him come. I’m just about to settle the score with him.”

While Esther wiped her face with a washcloth, she combed her hair into a ponytail with a brush. Although she liked

long hair, if she was going to be Logan’s partner, her long hair might be a hindrance. Maybe it was time to cut it?

“He is Felix’s biological father. Show some mercy.” Xara was afraid that they would end up hurting each other.

Esther sneered. “When he forced my sister to death, did he think about Felix being his son?”

Xara rubbed her temples but couldn’t tell Esther the truth. All she could do was hope that God wouldn’t be so cruel

and cause them to turn against each other.

“Oh, by the way… Xara, I’m sorry. I damaged your car.”

Xara dismissed it. “It’s just a car. Wreck it if you want. We have so many cars at home. It’s like having a luxury car

exhibition. You can switch to another one later.”

Esther hugged Xara joyfully and gave her a kiss. “Xara, I love you.”

Xara felt a bit overwhelmed by Esther’s emotional outburst. She looked at her tidy appearance so early in the

morning and asked, “Do you have something on today?”

“Yeah, I’m participating in an assessment.”

“What assessment?”

saying, “Secrecy ensures success!”

“Alright, good luck. After passing the assessment, we’ll celebrate for you.”

Esther winked playfully. “That’s a must.”

The children were still asleep, and Steffan had already gone to work.

After having breakfast with Xara, Esther picked a black SUV from the garage and drove straight out of the castle.

Bradley sat in the back of a Bentley, working on his tablet. He had to merge numerous companies into a

corporation, which was a tremendous amount of work. After staring at the tablet for a long time, he suddenly

glanced ahead and saw a black SUV coming from the opposite side of the intersection.
