As expected, delayed affection was worthless!
Esther didn’t want to waste her energy on a man like Bradley. To put it plainly, he wasn’t worth it.
Before long, Logan returned, opened the car door, and got in. His gaze darkened slightly as he said, “Let’s go.
They’re heading back to the motel.”
“Alright.”
Esther drove the red sports car away from the bar, zooming past Bradley like lightning through the night.
Bradley stood outside the bar, self-mockingly thinking that maybe his encounter with Felix had driven him to act

He rubbed his throbbing temples, feeling utterly exhausted. He wondered if he had been seeing her in everyone he
met lately. He had been so sure it was her, but now he wasn’t certain.
In a foreign land and an unfamiliar city, if Esther were still alive, Felix would surely have known, given her deep
concern for him. Unless… she was truly dead.
The thought of Esther being dead pierced Bradley’s heart like needles, making him break out in a cold sweat.
Despite the bustling crowd around him, he felt like he had fallen into an icy abyss, chilling him to the core.
Bradley glanced at the bar with a self-mocking smirk and walked into the dark night. Just as he turned a corner, a
group of thugs closed in on him.
“Hey, buddy!” The thugs approached Bradley with ill intentions, arrogantly demanding, “Give us some money.”
One of the thugs extended a greedy hand.
Bradley swiftly yanked the hand and dealt with these troublemakers like punching bags. He vented his anger
without restraint, intending to beat them all senseless. However, his rationality urged him to stop midway.
He stretched his wrists and shouted, “Get lost!”
The thugs hadn’t anticipated that the seemingly fragile Bradley possessed such explosive combat skills. They
exchanged glances and hastily fled.
Bradley glanced at the blood on his fists, unsure whose it was. He sneered and returned to his hotel.
As soon as he opened the door, Mandy greeted him, “Bradley, did you manage to see Felix?”

It was then that Mandy noticed Bradley’s injuries and immediately fetched a first-aid kit to tend to his wounds.
As Bradley looked at Mandy’s beautiful face under the lamplight, he suddenly grasped her chin, sneering as he
asked, “Do you like me?”
Mandy stared at Bradley and couldn’t help but chuckle icily in her heart. Did she like Bradley? Did he need to look in
the mirror to realize the truth? How could she possibly like him?
If it weren’t for X’s orders, she would have long stopped caring about Bradley’s life or death.
“Don’t move. I’m applying the medication.”
