“Maybe you think I’m lying now. If you do, consider seeing a psychologist to retrieve that buried memory.”
Gabriel turned to Oliver and said, “Let’s go.”
Oliver looked sorrowful. Gabriel looked at Mandy, then spoke seriously, “We’ll discuss this more.”
“Okay.”
After Oliver and Gabriel left, all the search and rescue personnel departed, and Warner Manor returned to its usual

When everyone had left, Bradley grabbed a teacup from the table and hurled it at Mandy, who dodged it, and it

“B-Bradley,” Mandy said in fear, stuttering.
Bradley stepped closer, clutching Mandy’s throat. His eyes turned sinisterly crimson.
“Bradley…”
Mandy wondered if the enraged Bradley might strangle her to death.

Bradley’s attack. Murder was out of the question—she couldn’t afford to commit crimes under her new identity.

Bradley had gone to great lengths to keep Esther with him. What did that signify? Esther was his weakness.
“Mandy, remember. I’ve given you and your mother a peaceful life, understand?”
Mandy bit her lip and nodded gently. As she watched Bradley leave, she took a deep breath and slowly got to her
feet. She glanced at her delicate hand, blood trickling from her palm, and smiled inwardly.
