Esther savored the tasty, nourishing soup while observing the children happily chatting. It brought her a sudden
sense of inner peace. Surviving a car accident with only minor injuries made her feel incredibly fortunate.
After finishing her soup, she took a shower and changed her clothes. The presence of the children filled the house
with lively chatter, uplifting the atmosphere.
Esther’s mood improved gradually in this cheerful ambiance. She decided to call Gabriel and dialed his number.
“Grandpa Gabriel, where are you now? Are you okay?” she asked.
Gabriel responded cheerfully. “Esther, I’m perfectly fine. Just take care of yourself and the children.”

“No worries, I’m an old man. If there were any issues, I’d look for Agatha. Don’t think too much. Take good care of
the kids!” he said,
“Please take care of yourself too.”
“I know, you too.”
Gabriel hung up and looked at the card in his hand. He wondered who this “X” was targeting. What if it were him? If
that were the case, Esther would be innocent in this disaster. Her true identity remained undisclosed for her safety.
He believed that distancing himself from her was in her best interest.
Gabriel examined the card and contemplated the information he had gathered about the truck driver. The driver
had not accepted any payment, and there was no evidence of payments to his relatives, friends, or family.
Was it really just a coincidence? Gabriel couldn’t believe it was.
He noticed the distinct writing style that set the “X” apart from other fonts. What did it imply? The poppy flowers on
the card hinted at an identity.
Gabriel turned to look out of the car window, a sense of melancholy washing over him. Who was this mysterious
person, and where were they hiding?
One day, he would find out.

meticulously pruned, and the fountain was once again full of life.
Mandy welcomed him and studied his appearance. “Bradley, you don’t look too well. Did something happen?”
Bradley didn’t spare her a glance and walked past her.
‘Jerk! Are you deaf?’ she wondered.
Bradley climbed a few steps and suddenly stopped. “Mandy, how would you feel about becoming the butler?”
Mandy was taken aback, thinking, ‘Butler? Is he joking?!’
“Bradley, aren’t I your fiancee?” she asked.
Bradley raised an eyebrow with a faint smile. “Yes, you’re my fiancée.”
Mandy sighed inwardly in relief.
