Clark had an astonishing intuition at times. He glanced at Jasper and felt that something was wrong. Could there be
someone as pure-hearted as Jasper in this world?
Clark saw Jasper still standing by the roadside through the rearview mirror, gazing at where the car had gone.
When Jasper disappeared from sight, Clark drove away.
“Esther, when did you meet Mr. Searle?” Clark asked.
Esther thought for a moment and replied gently, “We’ve known each other for a while. I had just arrived at the
Ansteys, and he had returned from abroad. The Searles mistreated him, and that’s how we met.”
“Mr. Searle is truly impressive when you think about it,” Clark commented.

Searle Sr. was still the official head of the family.
“Yeah!” Esther thought about how Jasper had risen from being an unsupported illegitimate child to leading the
Searle Group.
Clark glanced at Esther in the rearview mirror and hesitated for a moment before asking, “Esther, have you
considered that Mr. Thomas’ car accident might not have been an accident?”
Instinctively, Esther covered Felix’s ears and asked, “Have you found something, Clark?”
“I based my reasoning on the video of Liliane removing Mr. Thomas’ oxygen mask. Initially, everyone assumed it
was you because of a misleading video. But now, it’s proven the video was fake, and the person in the hospital bed
wasn’t Mr. Thomas! So, who would benefit the most from framing you? Who made that video?”
Esther hesitated in her response. “But Liliane is no longer here, and we can’t find evidence.”
“Liliane was disfigured and went abroad. Who can guarantee that the person before the disfigurement was Liliane?
Or that the person who died abroad was her? If someone could frame you when it was Liliane who harmed Mr.
Thomas, faking Liliane’s death wouldn’t be difficult,” Clark elaborated.

Clark’s words put Esther on edge. Why hadn’t she thought of this before?
“If Liliane were alive, she would want to see her mother,” Ester said.
Clark said, “I have someone watching over Leah. But Esther, your enemy is lurking in the shadows. You must stay
vigilant.”

Esther had always wanted to find her daughter, but where could she begin to look in this vast world? Where was
she now?
“I don’t,” Clark replied honestly. “Everything related to you back then was handled by Cole.”
“Cole had an accident, so only Bradley knows where my daughter is, right?”
Esther’s face turned pale. Bradley had been the one who told her that their daughter was still alive. Even the initial
DNA test was done at the Warner Group’s hospital.
What if Bradley had orchestrated everything? Esther looked out of the car window at the scenery, replaying
Bradley’s actions during those days in her mind. Why had he readily revealed her daughters’ whereabouts? Why
hadn’t he grieved after Tinkerbell’s death?
