Chapter 258
There was some truth in what Liliane had said. Esther truly felt pathetic. Putting herself and her
children in danger repeatedly for a man who didn’t love her.
Bradley Warner was her downfall. She couldn’t avoid or escape it, but why did her children have to
suffer? What had her children done wrong?
Esther’s actions enraged Bradley, and without hesitation, he forcefully grabbed her wrist and pulled her
out of the ward. He pushed open the door of an empty ward and roughly threw her onto the bed.

Esther felt trapped by the chilling aura emanating from him. She struggled in Bradley’s embrace,

Bradley gripped Esther’s chin, forcing her to meet his bloodshot eyes filled with torrents of hatred.
Esther trembled in fear.
“Esther, Felix is dead. I’ll give you another son-”
Esther’s slap across Bradley’s face was firm and resounding.
“Felix is irreplaceable, Bradley! No one can take his place!”
Esther never imagined Bradley would entertain such a deranged idea. She feared he might actually act
upon this madness someday.
“All I want is my Felix! If you can, dry up the entire ocean and find Felix for me!” Esther closed her eyes

When she opened her eyes again, her determination and presence were stronger. “If you can’t do it,
then don’t stop me from finding Felix.”
Even if the whole world claimed Felix was dead, Esther refused to believe it. She firmly believed her
Felix was alive.
“Esther, Felix is dead.” Bradley’s voice was hoarse, filled with extreme grief, as he thought of the shoe

Esther looked into Bradley’s deep, cold eyes and corrected him, word by word, “Bradley, Felix is only
missing! He’s still waiting for me to find him–to save him!”
