Chapter 2187
Did Clarice mean that if Roland did not take Isabel to the party, then he did not want the Rockwells to approve of
her?
Did Clarice think that she was a fool? That she did not know about the Rockwells' affairs?
The Rockwells did not matter, and neither did its members who ostracized and bullied Roland.
Isabel would be an idiot if she needed their approval.
Furthermore, Roland’s mother had long since regarded Isabel as her darling daughter-in-law. She did not need
anyone else’s approval!
Isabel narrowed her eyes.
She read Clarice's message again. It was not hard to guess that Clarice just wanted to provoke her into making
Roland take her to the dinner party tonight.
Roland must have known about the party, but he did not bring it up at all. It must be because he did not plan on

There was a conspiracy at the dinner party.
What was it?
Isabel curled her lips.
No matter what, she had to go!
She ignored Clarice and messaged Roland directly. "Are you busy now?"
Roland swiftly responded, "No. What's wrong?"
Isabel called him straight.
He picked up as soon as the line rang. He asked in a low voice, "Did something happen?"
"No, I just received a text from Clarice."
"What did she say to you?" His voice grew a little colder.
Isabel said honestly, "She said that the Rockwells are hosting a dinner party at Southboro Hotel tonight and that all
the men will bring their significant others in attendance to get the family’s approval."
"And you believe her?” Roland asked suspiciously.
Isabel ignored his question and asked instead, "Is there really going to be a dinner party?"
"Yes."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I'm not going." Thus, there was no need to tell her.
Isabel smiled but said, "I want to go. Take me there."
"Isabel, this dinner party isn't safe. They must have other motives. We shouldn't go."
Isabel pouted and whined, "No, it's too boring at home. Take me there. I want to see the faces of the people who
bullied you."
"Isabel..." He obviously did not want to take her, but he did not know how to persuade her otherwise.
Isabel said, "I'm going. If you won't take me, then I’ll go by myself."
Roland sighed. 'TH take you there."
Meanwhile, in the Rockwell residence, since Clarice sent the text to Isabel, she kept staring at her phone screen.

After a long time passed without Isabel replying, Clarice snorted coldly and broke the silence contemptuously. "How
uncultured."
Master Rockwell asked, "Did she ignore you, Clarice?"
Clarice immediately recovered her usual calm and quiet appearance. "Although she didn't reply, she must have
read the message I sent her."
Master Rockwell nodded, thought for a moment, and looked at Decker. "Decker, you've known her before.
According to your understanding, will she ask Roland to take her to the dinner party tonight?"
Decker frowned. "I don't know."
Master Rockwell said, 'You've dated her before. Shouldn’t you know what she's like?"
Decker said, "She's different from how she was five years ago. I can't guess if she’ll tell Roland to take her there or
not."
Master Rockwell was a little anxious and said, "Even if she's different, a person's nature can't be changed. Think
carefully. If she doesn't take the bait, we'll have to think of other ways to get Roland to take her there."
