Chapter 1520
Sylvia had completely lost confidence in herself by this point and decided to follow Odell's advice, so she made her
guess. "Even."
Sherry lifted her cup. Four, two, six. Even.
Sylvia immediately lit up with joy and turned to Odell.
Odell smiled warmly and ruffled Sylvia's hair, then he proceeded to pull up a chair and sit next to her.
After Sylvia threw the dice back into the cup, Odell took it from her and said, "Why don't you take a break? I'll win this
one for you."
Sylvia smiled. "Alright."
Sherry was slightly bothered by how lovey-dovey the two of them were getting and pouted involuntarily.
Was that a taunt? She was not going to go down so easily.
She cocked an eyebrow and accepted the challenge. 'Come at me! You're not going to beat me!’
Odell shook the cup in his hand several times, the dice clattered around chaotically inside the cup.
Sherry pricked up her ears.
Just when she felt like she had a good hint on what the number was going to be, Odell suddenly sped up his pace.

Sylvia had just grabbed herself another cup of tea and sat down with Odell.
She turned to Sherry and prompted. "Alright, Sherry. Time to guess."
Sherry hesitated for a moment and blurted out, "Even."
Sylvia lifted the cup. The numbers were Three, six, six.
"Uh-uh, you're wrong!" Sylvia declared with a wry smile.
She was very smug about it as well. After her losing streak, the tables had finally turned.
Sherry was rather upset by this.
Suddenly, someone threw a chair next to her. A man sat down audaciously and joined the table.
He adjusted his glasses and turned to Odell with a sharp smile. "Young Master Carter, that's not very nice of you.
You can't pick on my Sherry like that when I’m around."
Sherry was stunned by this declaration and was almost physically repulsed.
My Sherry? What was this man going on about?
Odell rose to the challenge. "What's this? Are you going to substitute for her?’ 'Well, you stood up for your wife, so
it's only natural I do the same so you two don’t gang up on her," he rolled up his shirtsleeves and reached for the
cup as he said this. He grabbed the dice and tossed them into the cup.
Odell suddenly stopped him. "Wait a minute."
John obliged. 'What is it?" "Since we're playing now, why not spice things up with a bet?"
John seemed intrigued by this suggestion. "What sort of bet?"
Odell smiled coyly. "Same as last time."
Last time?
Sherry and Sylvia picked through their memories.
The last time they played this game was probably a few years ago.
Was it at the resort?
Sherry had a drastic reaction when she recalled what happened the last time. She immediately objected, "No way-"
"Sure," John answered resolutely and drowned out Sherry's objection.
Sherry glared at him.
John turned to her with a smile that did not inspire much confidence." Don't worry, I won't lose."
Odell's reaction was rather reserved, but there was an undeniable wipe of smile that flashed across his lips. In a
way, it also seemed like he was offended by the show of disrespect.
Suddenly, he turned to Sylvia and winked at her while reassuring her. "Don't worry."
Sylvia gave him a look but remained silent all the way.

Odell called it, "Even."
John lifted the cup. Five, five, four.
He smiled and remarked, "Amazing, as expected from Master Cater." "You went easy on me." Odell took the cup this time
and threw three dice inside it, then he proceeded to shake it and pressed the cup against the table, the same routine as
every time.
He looked at John. "Master Stockton, please."
John flashed a confident smile, looking graceful as always. Everything was under his control.
Sherry stared at him expectantly.
Sylvia and Odell were eagerly waiting for him to call it.
At last, he called it, "Odds."
Odell lifted the cup. Two, two, two. Even.
An oppressing silence lingered in the air for a while. Odell was suppressing the urge to crack a smile.
Sylvia grimaced.
Sherry turned to John with a look of betrayal.
