Under his questioning gaze, Theresa couldn’t help but hold her breath. She and Charlie had been together for a
long time, but she was still a little scared when he looked at her in silence as if he would know her secrets at any
moment. “Why are you looking at me like that? Cristina missed the children and we went to the park together. Is
something wrong?”
Charlie stared at Theresa and felt she was hiding something. “Theresa, is there something you’re not telling me?”

Theresa said, “You’re definitely going to be mad. You have to promise me you won’t be mad.”
Charlie said, “Okay.”
Theresa lowered her head, thought about it, and looked up at him. “I’m in love with Cristina. Please do us a favor.”
Charlie was speechless. “What’s wrong with you?”
“I’m serious.” Theresa shook his hand. “Promise me, okay?”
“Shut up.” Charlie felt sick and regretted asking her.
Theresa saw his face darken and continued, “You asked me and you said you wouldn’t be mad…”
Charlie grabbed her hand. “Okay, okay, let’s eat.” He didn’t want to ask any more questions.
Theresa breathed a sigh of relief and started peeling shrimp for Leonard.
Charlie looked at her coldly and asked, “Why are you peeling shrimp for him again? Can’t he do it himself?”
Theresa asked, “Can’t I help him?” It was normal for her to take care of her own son.
Charlie said coldly, “You’ve never peeled shrimp for me. I want it too.”
Theresa looked at him skeptically. “Can’t you do it yourself?” He had just questioned her but now he was asking her

Charlie said reluctantly, “Well, I know he’s more important than me.”
Ben heard their conversation and handed Charlie the shrimp he had peeled. “Daddy.”
Charlie was shocked.
Theresa smiled at him. “Wow, Mr. Calsis, turns out you’re the most childish here. Ben is more mature than you. He
gave you the shrimp he peeled.”
Embarrassed, Charlie put on a pair of gloves and started peeling shrimp.
Ben thought it was for him. He opened his mouth and stared at Charte expectantly.
