Chapter 319 Do You Have a Girlfriend?
Roderick said, “Well, see you later.” After Charlie left, he returned to the Camerons.
Theresa was still sitting on the sofa with her phone, lowering her head. Seeing Roderick, she immediately wiped
away her tears on the screen of her phone.
Roderick walked over. “Are you okay? Charlie just left.”
She looked up at him. “Maybe I should treat him better. After all, he hasn’t crossed the line.” She now thought that
she was as bad as Pat.

She sobbed. “But I don’t know what to do.” Recalling Charlie’s angry face, she knew that she hurt his feeling.
Roderick seldom saw her so sad. ‘It seems that Charlie’s reaction hurts her too.’ Thinking for a few seconds, he said
caringly, “It’s okay. Charlie will understand you. You know, he cares about you.” He knew why Charlie was so angry.
‘He wanted to make her happy, but failed. He just didn’t know how to do it.’
Theresa said, “I will live here for two days and won’t go back to the Calsis. As for the acupuncture treatment,
please ask Keith to do that. I have told him about Charlie’s health information.”
Roderick nodded. “Okay.”
Leah had the lunch cooked and came to the living room where there were only Roderick and Theresa. She asked,
“Where’s Charlie?”
Roderick knew that Theresa wouldn’t answer the question, so he said immediately, “He left for work.”
Leah said, “Oh no, how could he leave so soon? The lunch is ready.”
At this moment, Johnson went downstairs. Seeing Roderick, he said, “Dr. Hill, how about having lunch with us?”
Roderick was going to leave for lunch. Now suggested by Johnson, he nodded. “It’s my pleasure. Thanks.”
While having lunch, Johnson looked at Roderick. “Dr. Hill, what are your parents?”
Hearing his question, Theresa who was chewing a steak nearly choked. ‘Why would he ask such a question? He just
met Roderick for the first time. Is it proper?’
Roderick answered patiently in a gentle manner, “Just like you. They are businesspersons.”

Johnson continued, “Do you have a girlfriend?”
Theresa yelled in her heart. ‘Hey, dad, what are you talking about!’
“No.” Roderick smiled. “I am too busy to find a girlfriend.”
Theresa was speechless at her father’s satisfied face. She guessed that her father wanted Roderick to be his son-in-
law. ‘Wait! Does dad want me to marry Roderick? How could that be possible? After I get divorced, I will only focus
on my job and take good care of the kids. Money is much more important than any man.’
