hospital, okay?” Annie was so nervous that her eyebrows furrowed deeply.
Melanie waved her hand. “It’s fine. I’m feeling much better now. Touch here if you don’t believe me.”
Annie caught her hand and placed it on her forehead. Her fever was receding, and her face had some

back as well. The sleep did help, it seemed.

Annie was on the phone, putting her people to work, when her assistant knocked on her door urgently.
She
went over and opened the door. She saw that she was shaking and had two men behind her. “Boss…

Jeffrey wanted to go in as he knew who was inside, but Annie extended her hand and stopped him.
