And just as he brought his lips closer to hers, the memory of her kiss scene with Jason flashes in her head.
She raised her hand and pushed his chest back slightly.
"Don't you ever try this again!" She told him in a cold voice. Then she stood up and picked up her phone. She dalied his number
immediately and the person picked up at the second beep.
"Hello boss ma'am.." He said.
"Blade, is he awake already?" Elle asked, looking at her fine and polished nails.
"Not yet, boss ma'am.."
"Should I wake him up?" Blade asked and Elle sighed.
"Don't, Don't bother. Tomorrow, Damien and I will come over but do one thing, make he's healthy and no injuries, if possible give
him food to eat.."
"But ma'am, why are you taking care of your enemy.."
"It's said that keep your friends close and your enemies closer, that's what I'm doing. He should still be in the right frame of mind
to answer my question, I need him.." Elle said
"Undeerstood, boss ma'am..." Blare said and then hung up.
"I can't wait for tomorrow.." She mumbled with a smirk playing at the corner of her lips. Then she turned to Damien.
"Keep a tab on the Madisons. I want to know how they will react to the news.." She said and walked away.

BREAKING NEWS; MAYOR LANGFORD was kidnapped at his residents by an unknown female assassin and her cohort.
Several of the guards were found dead and some were injured. The female assassin is said to be very skilled by one of the
bodyguards. Though there were cctv camera there but it couldn't capture the face of the assailant and her Male cohort. Citizens
are worried because they think it's a cause of alarm since the elections are getting near. And furthermore, the plate number of
the car was considered invalid, so for now, they will don't have a lead about the Mayor's kidnapping. Also one of the guards also

'Mum, Dad!" He yelled and both the governor and Lauren rushed out immediately.
"What's happening? Why did you scream out our name that way?" Lauren asked.
"It's uncle Langford, he was kidnapped by an unknown female assassin.." Tyson said and both James and Lauren's eyes
widened.
"W.. what?!" Lauren stuttered while the shocked expression still remained on James.
"But how? Weren't his guards there?" James asked as he ran his hands into his hair.
"They were about forty guards but then she took them on, I mean she and her cohort. They killed some and injured some.."
Tyson explained and James sighed again.
"But hun, who could have done this to Langford. Who? This is so surprising!" Elle said like she was about to cry.
James sighed again and was about to talk when he remembered something. The video that was played at his birthday party.
His eyes widened. Could it be that the person threatening him knows of his close relationship with Langford and decided to use
Langford against him.
James' heart skipped at the realisation and he clenched his fists angrily.
"Nooo!" He said in gritted teeth.
"This can't be happening!" He suddenly yelled and faced Lauren.
"We have to find Langford as soon as we can. Hun, Langford knows everything about me! He does! I hope he doesn't implicate
me.." James said to his wife while Tyson looked at him in confusion.
"Dad,do you want to save uncle Langford because he's your friend or because he knows your secret?!"
"But come to think of it, what secret are you talking about. You and uncle James never had anything to house. You are always
transparent to the citizens.."
"Shut it! Just shut it boy!" James yelled and then walked away.
Lauren sighed.
"Learn to stay strong for your dad. I'll be right back.." Lauren says and walked away.
Tyson just sighed and then smiled.
"Dad seems weird.."

Then Elle looked away. She didn't want to start staring at him again and start feeling guilty. It was like she betrayed him or

Elle rolled her eyes and fred her wrist off his.
"What do you want?' She asked coldly.
Jason sighed.
"I'm having a hard time saying this, since I haven't said this to someone in a long time.." He said and Elle furrowed her brows.
"What?" She asked and he closed his eyes and sighed. Elle quickly smiled and then she quickly comported herself.
"If you know.. "
"I'm sorry. For ignoring you yesterday. I was not just myself.." He said and Elle was almost tempted to smile.
"If you want, you can accept it but if you don't, it's your call.." He said again and sighed then he turned to leave.
He couldn't even sleep well last night and he blamed himself for ignoring her. Not like she was doing anything wrong anyways.
She already said she likes Tyson. And for the first time ever, he decided to say what he hasn't said in years.
"Wait.." Elle said and then he paused and turned to her. She walked towards him and then smiled when she got to him.
"You are a fool.." She said and his eyes widened.
"What? You.. you called me a fool?" Jason asked, looking stupidfied.
"Yeah and why I called you a fool is a secret.." She winked at him and he scoffed. Then she brought out her hand for a
handshake.
"Will you be my friend?" She asked with a smile.
"What?" He said and she rolled her eyes.
"I rarely become friends with anyone, so you should consider yourself really lucky, I'm friends with you. Egocentric prince.." She
said and he chuckled.
"Fine.." He said and was about to receive the handshake but Elle brought her hand down.
"You know what? Friends share a hug.." She said.
"What?" Jason said again and she scoffed.
"Are you lost?" She asked and she moved close to him. Thankfully she was almost his height because of the high heels she was
wearing. She smiled and then pulled him into a hug.
Jason smiled also and then wrapped his arms around her, reciprocating the hug.
