“You are not going,” my father yelled for what seemed like the hundredth time. | shook my head as | paced the

living room.

“I don’t care what you say, Dad, I'm going,” | retorted and he growled.

“Will you two stop?” my mother demanded. “Blake, | think it’s a good idea if Aspen goes. She could be in trouble

and she trusts him.” she defended.

is this any different?” | demanded.

“He has a point, Blake,” Grandpa said.

mate until she was pregnant with Evie. But you still went after her.”

“Aspen, | was also protecting Channing.” She pulled away from him and stood up from her seat on the couch.

moved towards him, but Grandpa stopped him.

“I asked Aiden to go with you,” my mother said as she stood in the doorway. “Go pack.” | rushed to her and

wrapped her in a hug.

“Thank you,” | exhaled, kissing her cheek. | hurried out of the living room to my bedroom to pack a bag. She and

Sarah have a good head start and we need to catch them before it’s too late.

Luna Ryley

“Baby,” Blake started but | held up my hand to stop him. | was too emotional right now to deal with what he said.

“Stormy, I’m going to go with him. | will keep him safe,” Eli said and Blake growled.

“That's up to your alpha,” | looked at my father.

“Eli will keep him safe,” my father nodded.

“Thank you. Aiden should be here soon. I'm going to check on Evie,” | walked towards the stairs and Channing

stopped me.

“I'm okay, go help your brother and | will be down in a minute,” | told him. | walked up the stairs, ignoring the

chatter of the living room. What Blake said hurt even though | know he didn’t mean it like that, but his words

“Ryley, Blake loved us before the council took us,” Lily said and | sighed as | opened our daughter's bedroom

door. She was still napping and | was thankful, she could sleep through all the yelling.

“But she is a Luna wolf and we need to protect her, Blake. She might not be Aspen’s mate, but she is still
