Ethan’s Vengeance of Love

At the thought that something might have happened to Caroline, Alice didn’t dawdle and rushed toward Ethan’s car.

Then, she opened the door, wanting to get inside.

Since she had already told Keith about her marriage with Ethan back inside the Woland Residence, she thought

there was no need to hide it from Keith.

Keith wanted to stop Alice, but it was her choice to get inside Ethan’s car, so he didn’t have the right to stop her.

However, he couldn’t stand seeing Ethan as overbearing, egotistical, and also arrogant.

That was why he suddenly shouted when Alice was about to enter the car, “Alice, remember our promise. I’ll wait

for you.”

When Keith said that, Ethan narrowed his cold eyes, and a sneer slowly appeared on his lips.

Alice glanced at Keith, thinking, This guy’s not afraid to stir up trouble. When did we make a promise? Wait for me?

Why would he be waiting for me? What’s wrong with him? Why is he saying such ambiguous things?

Back inside the car, Ethan’s gaze had chilled down even more. I’m right here, and she’s still making eyes at Keith?

Also, did Keith say he’s going to wait for her? What does that mean? Wait for her to get divorced and then marry

her? Dream on!

Meanwhile, Caleb was terrified because Ethan looked very frightening at this moment.

Luckily, Alice didn’t respond to Keith’s words and got in the car.

“Get out.” Right after Alice got in and sat down, she heard Ethan ordering in an emotionless voice.

Alice froze. She had just gotten in, but he ordered her to leave. Didn’t he stop the car here so that she could get in?

However, looking at his frightening appearance, Alice wasn’t afraid and was about to get out.

Ethan narrowed his eyes and suddenly reached over to grab her.

Meanwhile, Caleb, who was in front, took off his seatbelt and got out of the car. It was obvious that Ethan’s order

was directed at him.

But what confused Caleb was, shouldn’t Ethan be ordering him to drive now that Alice had gotten in? Who would

drive the car now that he was outside?

Alice then realized Ethan was ordering Caleb to get out, not her.

But he was looking so frightening, yet he had ordered Caleb to get out. What was he going to do?

Also, Keith was standing right outside.

He saw Alice get in and Caleb get out, followed by all the windows closing. Since the window panels were specially

made, they blocked everyone’s view of the inside.

Then, Keith went over and smashed his fist on the window, but the windowpane seemed to be made from very

good quality glass because no matter how hard Keith slammed his hand on it, it didn’t break.

“Ethan, what are you doing? Come at me if you have any grudges. Why are you making things difficult for a

woman?” By now, Keith was really worried about Alice.

From his knowledge of Ethan, he knew that Ethan might look cold and distant, but he was merciless when doing

things.

If another person’s merciless behavior was killing another, Ethan’s merciless side was to make another’s life a living

hell.

At this point, Keith was regretting his choice to say such ambiguous things to Alice.

He clearly knew Alice and Ethan had something going on and how provoking it was to say such ambiguous things in

this situation.

Now that he had provoked Ethan, the one receiving the consequences was going to be Alice.

Keith was filled with regret as he worried about Alice. He admitted that he said those words not only because he

couldn’t stand Ethan’s arrogance but also because he was jealous.

The scene of Ethan stopping his car before them and saying nothing while Alice voluntarily got inside filled Keith

with jealousy.

“It seems like he’s quite worried for you.” Inside the car, Ethan’s lips were slightly curved, but it didn’t look like he

was smiling. Instead, it gave her the creeps.

Ethan’s words were clearly directed at Alice, but he wasn’t looking at her or out the window at Keith.

Alice couldn’t even figure out what he was looking at.

As for his statement, she didn’t reply either because Ethan might not be really asking her that.

When Ethan didn’t receive a response, his lips curved into a slight smile that looked exceptionally terrifying.

At this moment, anyone who saw him would be horrified.

Even the fearless Alice felt her heart slightly shiver. Throughout their marriage, this was the first time she saw

Ethan behaving this way.

She sat there, unmoving and quiet.

In the meantime, Keith was growing anxious outside the car when he didn’t receive any response. He then

slammed his fist on the window, screaming, “Ethan Knight, come out. Let’s duel.”

Ethan sneered. A duel? You don’t deserve such a chance.

It was clear that Ethan didn’t take Keith seriously, as though Keith was not a threat to him.

However, the decision to stop the car here showed that he was deliberately doing it to taunt Keith.

Jeez! Men. Sometimes contradictory and sometimes childish. Of course, Alice couldn’t dare to say that aloud at this

moment.

Just as she was lost in her thoughts, Ethan suddenly turned to look at her and asked, “Did Keith come here to ask

for your hand in marriage?”

“Yes,” Alice answered softly while secretly guessing his intentions. Didn’t he already know that? Why is he asking

me?

“Did you enjoy your conversation with him? Huh?” Ethan’s eyes were still fixed on her, and his lips were slightly

curved. But his voice was still deep and slow as he sat there like a stone and didn’t approach Alice.

It was just his oppressive aura that made Alice feel breathless.

“What?” Even the intelligent Alice couldn’t figure out what he was talking about.

What did he mean by enjoying the conversation with him? Honestly, she and Keith had only exchanged a few

words, so there was no conversation, to begin with, and there was nothing enjoyable about it.

Although Keith had saved her seven years ago and was her savior, and even though he might be Apollo’s biological

father, she still wouldn’t marry him no matter what.

What happened today was Keith coming to the Woland Residence to propose marriage, and she was there to reject

him. So, they naturally wouldn’t have a ‘good conversation.’

On the other hand, her conversation with James went quite well, but even the Wolands didn’t know that, so how

could Ethan know? Did he have superhero hearing?!

“Did Keith give you a truckload of roses?” Before Alice could figure it out, Ethan spoke again. This time, he

immediately jumped to the topic of the roses.

Alice pursed her lips. She should have guessed when Ethan called earlier that he had found out about everything.

Since he didn’t mention anything just now, she thought he wasn’t bothered by it and that he wasn’t as overbearing

as she thought it was. Now, it seemed like she had imagined him to be too “perfect.”
