| had taken every precaution: fully clothed, hood mask in place, scent completely neutralized, and lenses worn.

| stood there, silent, unwilling to give a response; maybe he had only made a wild guess.
Thane walked forward; he was so close to| could perceive his scent; this was a wicked reminder of what we
