Dylan POV
Sick... | felt sick to my stomach as | watched that smug bastard condemn Lewis to an early grave. A public
execution hadn't been done in a long time, and for the first one in months to be a Lycan was huge news. Camera
flashes went off in the kings smirking mug of a face, and with it my anger grew ten fold.
Like fuck! I wasn't going to stand by and let another person that | love die at the hands of my abuser. Not a
chance in hell.
My sight wandered around the hundreds of people watching on, and noticed a few of them held holographic
devices, talking to their long distant family members about the incident that had transpired. Allowing my anger
to consme, and without thinking, while my eyes once again settled and focused glaringly on King Josh's
face, | grabbed the gun out of my waist band and aimed it at the tv.
| made the entire room jump in fear

as | fired a single bullet straight through the kings forehead as it rested on the screen, causing a singular loud
bang to echo through the the room. The picture on the tv began to flicker before ultimately fading to black.
Everyone present turned their heads in astonishment as | remained stood, with my arm out stretched and the
gun in the air,
a small puff of smoke floating out of
the barrel.
If Lewis's execution was to be held in two days time, then luckily that meant his life was safe until then. | had 48
hours to save him.
| suppose this was slightly good news. The kings need to make an example of people was ultimately going to be
his undoing. | will never let anyone else die because ofand my actions.
"You have all been preparing for a
fight, well, now you've one... a big
one." | spoke to the room and felt a hundred eyes on me, | heard the slight patter of footsteps and realized that
more and more people were gathering as | spoke my words. | turned in my spot to find that most of the pack
house, including alpha Gilliard, Luna Trina and both of
Lewis's parents, were now watching, listening intently to my speech. In my head | was finished, my sentence
wasn't meant to be continued. However with so many eyes on| realized now was the tto create a sense
of morale.
I sighed, moving my head around to locate the large coffee table that was placed in the center of the large
sitting room, and quickly walked up to it. | allowed myself to stand tall, my back straight and my head held high
as | looked down at all the people, both lycans and humans, who stood waiting to followinto the throws of
battle.
"The tto take back our world, is

now. The embers that you have all created, that have been simmering for so long now need to beca roaring
flame! The weapons that you have all forged, must now be
wielded with the fury and might of hundreds of warriors, desperate to take their lives back." The few lycans that
had been on the phone to their family now had their devices
jel
pointed at me. | couldn't see myself in them, but | could hear the loud
words that | had spoken, traveling back tothrough each and every device, a small delay in each of them. "I
am tired of having to justify my actions of needing more
supplies to survive, | am sick of
shouting my views and having them dismissed due to my species and | am done, conforming to rules and
regulations that state physical punishments are acceptable for mediocre infractions." Maybe | was getting
carried away, my word vomit coming out full force as | pushed my views onto everyone else. | had to bring this «
back to my people as a whole, instead of focusing on my own issues.
