Chapter 310
With a glance from Corey, the others got the signal, grabbed Blake, and gave him a brutal beating.

Once they were gone, Blake was left collapsed on the floor, struggling for breath, his face and head a bloody
mess from the beating. The door was ajar when a man in a suit strolled in, chuckling softly. Startled, Blake
thought it was Corey. "Corey, letgo... Who the hell are you? Get out!" he yelled.
The man chuckled softly and said, "After that beating, it seems you didn't learn anything. I'm here to give you
money. Do you want it or not?"
'Money?' Blake wondered, gazing intently at the visitor. His eyes were fixed on the man's watch. It was a piece
he had previously seen on TV, valued at millions-surely enough to pay off his debts.
As if flipping a switch, Blake adopted a fawning smile. "Hey there, have a seat," he said, not forgetting to pinch
his bleeding nose. "Sit down while | clean up."
The man found a relatively clean spot to sit, lightly drumming his fingers on the table as he said softly, "I need
you to do something, the pay is 300 thousand dollars."
Blake's eyes widened and he nodded eagerly. "I'm all ears."

After leaving Shantyville, Chuck sniffed the odor on his clothes. Blake's affordable dwelling was filled with a
variety of unpleasant smells.

The leftover takeout food was rotting in the corner, the empty beer bottles were scattered on the floor, and the
stench of decaying rats and cockroaches filled the air. He even found a few plastic bottles filled with some
unknown liquid by Blake's bed. Only someone that filthy could live in such a squalid environment. It's baffling
why Bonnie would leave behind a handsand honest college professor to choose someone so deplorable.
He hurriedly dialed Yonas's number, and as soon as it connected, he heard a few soft coughs from the other end.
"Yonas," he said, "everything's done." He hesitated before continuing, "How's your illness? Is it getting better?"
All he got in response was a faint "mm" from the other end.
He started talking to himself, "Yonas, when | went there, that jerk was bragging about selling his wife and kids.
What a revolting person, deservedly rotting away in a place like that. Still, I can't understand why Bonnie-who
isn't bad-looking- chose a guy like him." After a long time, Yonas finally replied, "He'll do anything for money,
which makes things a lot easier for us."
"How's it going on your end, Yonas?" Chuck asked with concern.
Yonas murmured, "Let's hold off on the investigation for the next few days."
"Got it," Chuck said. His expression becserious; having been part of the investigation, he knew exactly what
that meant.
The events from back then were buried deep, and no one knows exactly what role the White family played, but
they are definitely involved. I've been thwarted by them more than once.

Standing at the entrance of Aurelith University, Bonnie was frantically expressing her accusations against her ex-
husband

and her resentment toward Yasmine. The reporters at the school gate were eager to unearth a bigger story. This
scene was strikingly similar to the earlier Teresa incident, making one wonder if it was all orchestrated by the
shand.
She held her son at the entrance, tears like rain on flowers, and the child's crying pulled at everyone's
heartstrings. In just a few hours, the story trended, with everyone cursing Yasmine. Seven dug up previous
events to portray Yasmine as a bad person. Outwardly, Bonnie was crying, but inside she was secretly laughing,
as she was close to obtaining the 1.6 million. With that money, she and Blake could run away, find a small place
to buy a house, start a little business, and live peacefully for the rest of their lives. The more she thought about
it, the more intensely she cried, perfecting her performance.
Meanwhile, in the counseling room, Yoselin almost couldn't hold back from rushing out, but Yasmine caught her
just in time.
"Yoselin, calm down." Yasmine placed the psychological tasks she had prepared beforehand in front of Yoselin,
aiming to alleviate her anxiety.
How could she not be aware of the incidents at the school gate? Lucy had already called two or three times,
eager to rush over and give Bonnie a few slaps, but Yasmine stopped her each time.
With Yasmine's comforting words, Yoselin had no choice but to calm down and focus on her test. Yasmine ruffled
her hair, saying, "I'll handle it." Yoselin nodded, though she didn't mention that she had already asked her
brother to take care of it the day before. While the reporters were still conducting interviews, Yasmine slowly
walked out from the school gate, and the reporters quickly pointed their microphones at her.
"Ms. Sanchez, are you involved with Abel?"

"Ms. Sanchez, aren't your actions as a teacher bringing shto Aurelith University?"
"Now that things have escalated to this point, and the school officials haven't stepped in, is it because they're
intentionally shielding you?" the reporters asked insistently.
Yasmine smoothly took a microphone from a reporter, looked directly into the camera, and said with poise,
"Ladies and gentlemen, before any facts are established or any solid evidence is presented, making such
statements givesthe right to sue you for defamation." "Additionally, Ms. Bonnie has never specified when |
was allegedly involved with her ex-husband. To my knowledge, Bonnie and Abel divorced three months ago.
During these months, Bonnie has been pressuring Abel to sell his house to buy a car, using the money to support
her lover. Am | right?" Yasmine questioned.
A flicker of panic flashed in Bonnie's eyes, and then she cried, her tears flowing like rain, and continued, "I really
don't have any evidence. I'm just a woman from the countryside, never thought to keep evidence when things
went wrong. But Abel himself toldabout what happened between you two, so it can't be false. I've already
looked into you; you were responsible for the deaths of other students. You are not a good person."
Yasmine's face grew serious, "Ma'am, | must remind you that what happened with Teresa is in the past. If you
have any questions about it, feel free to involve the police, but do not slander, or | will charge you with
defamation."
She turned to the reporters and raised her phone, "Regarding this matter, | think it's tto settle it. Bonnie has
slandered and defamed me, and | will report it to the police. As for what she said, perhaps you should listen to
this recording first."
She pressed the play button on her phone, and a woman's voice emerged. "Son, you must remember, cry as
hard as you carr later. If you do it well, Mommy will buy you a toy," the woman said.
Next was a man's voice, "Will this even work? That woman seems quite influential, and those people might not
believe it."
