Chapter 230
Now, Helen felt like there were countless eyes watching her every move, and it was terrifying. Her mother's
words still echoed vividly in her mind, words she desperately tried to forget but that wouldn't stop buzzing
around her ears. "Can't you do something for the sake of
this family... After all, Yvette is carrying your brother's child, and that's the only child of the Flynn family."
Helen was getting tired of it. Since her fallout with her mother, she hadn't returned once, and neither had Xavier.
Perhaps her mother had long since forgotten about her. Her brother and mother were never her family.
Helen had a slight curve on her lips, knowing it was all pointless, no matter how hard they tried. Yasmine had
already gathered all the evidence and submitted it. Yvette's arrest was imminent.
After the auction ended, Yasmine had enjoyed a period of peace. She was a bit surprised, having tricked Irene,
she thought Irene would launch a reckless revenge without considering the consequences.
"Today, Ms. White from the White family and Mr. Russell were seen together on Crescent Isle, seemingly planning
something for the resort island..." The news reported with media surrounding Yonas and Irene. Irene had a gentle
smile that shone brightly as she clung to Yonas's side like a delicate bird, perfectly fitting the image of a couple
as described by the media.
Yasmine's face turned pale as she turned off the news, sipping a cup of hot water. She couldn't ignore the
stabbing pain in her heart, feeling like countless needle points piercing her, beyond her control. Although it
wasn't heart-wrenching, it seeped into her every breath. She thought she could move on as quickly as she did
after divorcing Xavier, but she was wrong.
Knock, knock, knock! The sound of knocking came. Yasmine composed her expression and said, "Cin."

The door opened, and a strong wind rushed in, stirring a tearing noise. Yasmine's nose felt sore; the last person
she wanted to see stood before her. Yonas walked in slowly, step by step, just like the old days. The only
difference was her quickly averted gaze and the weariness in Yonas's eyes.
Yonas closed the door, shutting out the wind. He sat down in front of her, "Yasmine."
Yasmine took a deep breath, making sure she wouldn't start crying. "Yonas, what brings you here?"
Yonas calmly handed her a document. "Here."
"What is it?" The last document he gave her had told her about Misty Evergreen Isle, so what could this be
about? She opened the file, glanced at it, then shut it quickly. "Are you sure you want to give this to me?"
Yonas nodded solemnly. "Hold onto it."
"Is there anything else, Mr. Russell?" Yasmine presumed he would leave after giving her the document.
"Did you forget? I'm here for your treatment."
"Treatment? What are you here for this time?" Yasmine asked and instantly regretted it. She suddenly
remembered when Yonas pretended to be depressed to seek her help. It had been so long since then, and he
hadn't shown up until now. "Yasmine, have you
really forgotten me?" Yonas couldn't believe it. The moment he walked in, he noticed it: the redness in Yasmine's
eyes, the hidden sadness that was unmistakable.
Yasmine avoided his probing gaze and softly said, "I thought you weren't upset anymore?" After all, in the last
two auctions, he seemed composed and appeared as if they were ordinary friends. Her eyes dinmed, unsure if it
was because of Irene.

Chapter 230
"Yasmine, I'm not alright. You haven't forgiven me, how could | possibly be fine?" he said with a bitter smile.
"What question do you seek advice for this time? Heartbreak again?" Yasmine looked at her fingertips.

Yonas leaned back relaxedly. "Heartbreak. The person | like doesn't want to talk toright now. What should |
do?"
Yasmine blinked, "Thanks for the help with the land deal. Did Irene complain about you?"

Yonas shook his head, "Even if she blames me, she wouldn't show it." Their first meeting at the airport with Irene
wasn't this awkward, but now, though they could sit face-to-face and talk about company matters, it always felt
like there was a veil between them. Whenever facing bad people, Yonas would recall everything she did to
Yasmine. Lately, he kept dreaming of bloody scenes, seeing Yasmine lying in a pool of blood in an abandoned
factory. He wished to pick her up helplessly, wanting to wedge her away from the cold wall. The woman's
desperate, screeching cries echoed in his mind, haunting him as a nightmare he couldn't forget.
"Mr. Russell, I'm here to treat you." Yasmine stepped out from behind the desk with a gentle smile, walked over
to Yonas, and placed a hand on his shoulder. She casually adjusted the seat's backrest to let him lean back
comfortably. Bending down slightly, she softly whispered in his ear, "Relax, try not to think about anything.

Yasmine looked at Yonas, slowly lowering her eyes, relaxing completely as she lay back in the chair. She
continued, "You're wandering aimlessly down the street, not a soul around. You're waiting for someone, aren't
you? Who do you think you're waiting for? And what for?"
She heard Yonas softly reply, "I'm waiting for someone, for a date."
Yasmine's eyes twitched slightly, "With who?"
Yonas's voice grew steadier, "Yasmine."
"You glance at your phone and realize the date is entirely different from today. What date do you see?" Yasmine
asked, her eyes intense as she scrutinized Yonas's expression. He replied, "May 8th, 2019."
2019? Yasmine's fingers twitched slightly. Three years ago. Why is Yonas's subconscious rendezvous from three
years ago? Why is Yoselin also from three years back in his dreams? Or has she really forgotten something? Is
the secret Yonas has been hiding all along related to this? What exactly happened between her and Yonas three
years ago?
Everything was replaying in his mind, mystery after mystery. These puzzles seemed to be twisted like a tangled
rope. Even if she wanted to unravel them, she had to find the starting knot.
Yasmine continued to ask, "When did you and the person you're waiting for first meet? What was your
relationship like before? What's their name?"
With her questioning, Yonas's expression grew more pained. His brow furrowed tightly, and cold sweat dripped
down his forehead.
Unwilling to give up, she asked, "Tell me! What's your relationship with that woman? When did you start seeing
her? And when did you first meet?" SEND GIFT
