Dominic pulled her into his arms, holding her close. "People in your department say you and Ethan are... beyond
friendly terms. No wonder he's always so eager to help you out."
She was awkwardly seated on his lap, struggling a bit. "You're seriously gossipy. Just one quick walk around and
you've already sniffed out the rumors? You're wasting your talents in business... You should consider being a
spy."
Dominic stayed silent with a dark expression, looking as if he were seconds away from devouring her.
Bella regained her calm and said bluntly, "We've broken up, remember? Who | see now is none of your business,
Mr. Miller. Seriously, you're too free... Can't you find something better to think about?"
Out of nowhere, Dominic leaned in and bit her shoulder. She yelped in surprise, "Are you a dog or something?"
Not missing a beat, he warned her, "Stop bringing up the breakup. Did | say it was over? I've let you run wild for
too long, haven't I? As for Ethan, what's he got that's better than me? If you're going to look for someone else, at
least find someone better. Always go for a better one, not worse, understand?"
Bella couldn't help but laugh. "Where am | supposed to find someone better than you? It'd be like reaching for
the stars."
He raised a brow, pleased. "So... If I'm that good, shouldn't you hold on tightly to me?
She smirked, tugging at his tie playfully. "Like this?"
He guided her hand downward. "Here..."
Bella blushed and quickly pulled away. "You're shameless! I'm exhausted... I'm going to take a shower and go to
bed. You can go hif you've nothing better to do."

He stood up too, loosening his tie and slipping off his jacket. "I'm staying over tonight."

Bella felt a warning bell go off in her mind and frowned. "I don't like this..."
He stepped closer, leaning in just enough that his lips brushed her forehead. "Relax. You take forever in the
shower anyway. I'll go first."

planting all these thoughts in her mind, then acting like she was overthinking it.
When they finally settled down for the night, Dominic was surprisingly well-behaved, as if she was the one who
overthought it. When the lights went out, he pulled her off the floor and back onto the bed. "Sleeping on the floor
is uncomfortable. Just sleep here."
Lying next to him, Bella couldn't ignore the change in his body. She doubted he had nothing on his mind.
"Fine. But if you can't keep your hands to yourself, I'm calling you out on it. Whoever makes a move first... is a
dog."
