Six months before the wedding, they got engaged, chose a wedding gown, took photos, picked a registration date for their marriage, and eventually prepared for the wedding During that period, Noelle halted all the matters in her life and focused solely on the wedding preparation. Yet, today, they ended their marriage in a few words within less than 30 minutes of legal procedure. Hendrix's lawyer worked efficiently, and there was no waiting period before the divorce was finalized. Soon enough, the couple received their divorce decrees.

Hendrix appeared swamped with work. Incoming calls kept him occupied since he entered the courthouse, and after receiving the decree, he left while speaking on the phone.

Noelle planned to bid farewell to him but realized he had left once she exited the courthouse. He didn't even say goodbye to her.

After standing still for stime, she slowly lowered her eyes and glanced at the divorce decree in her hand. "There goes two years of my marriage. It started with anxiety and ended in a frantic rush. All this time, I was the only one running around in panic," she mused.

Her phone suddenly rang, interrupting her thoughts.

"What the hell?" Noelle had just picked up her phone when a hysterical voice echoed from the speaker. "Are you kidding me? What was that update you sentthis morning? Why did the male lead die?" "Wasn't I clear in my drawing? Death by car accident." "Are you nuts? The male lead got run over by a car on the day of his proposal? Aren't you afraid your readers would run you over instead?" The editor's words prompted a chuckle from Noelle. "They won't. They don't even know who I am." "But I do! Babe, don't play withlike that. If I upload this version, I'll receive curses and threats and-" "Relax. I'll bring it full circle later." "For real? Will the male lead be rebirthed? Or is it ttravel? Con! Givea spoiler!" "Nope! The female lead got a rebirth." Noelle looked to the sky and continued, "Isn't it much cooler that she'll leave the man and restart a new life?" She didn't fully convince her editor, Evelyn Harper. Since they lived in the scity, Evelyn cto confront her.

In the meantime, Noelle was unpacking her stuff at her new rental place. When Evelyn arrived, she was stunned by the scene. "Are you running away or something?" Noelle glanced at her. "Can't you tell this is a new place I've rented?" "Nope! I can't tell. I thought this was where you had your little affair with a young, handsman." Noelle's movement paused briefly at her words. Then, she cclean. "I got a divorce." "D-Divorce?" Evelyn's eyes widened in disbelief. "Cagain?" Noelle smiled. "You heard me." Chapter 34

In this city, Evelyn was one of the few friends Noelle had. However, they rarely interacted in real life.

Evelyn was her editor, so they communicated online most of the time. She knew Noelle's identity, as well as Hendrix's, the CEO of Amity Group in Coppersville

The two ladies locked eyes for stime. After ensuring Noelle wasm serious, Evelyn asked, "So, what now? Is this your way of seeking revenge? By hurting all your readers?" "No... Actually, I find the plotline quite nice."
