Claremento's outburst brought Rapido to his senses.
"Get the f*ck out of here! I don't want to see you. Go home and tell your family. If the Kaygene family ever gets
involved in my family affairs again, you will no longer exist in Crosac!" Claremento bellowed.
Rapido turned pale and scrambled out of the mayor's residence.
Sean was now back in his room. Shania and Uriah also came over. Zander was here, of course.
Upon entering the room, Shania and Uriah came up to Sean together while Zander was calm and did not ask
questions right away.
Looking at the confusion on Shania and Uriah's faces, Sean said, "Ms. Lisha and I were attacked by Aria and her

Mayor Claremento, saying Ms. Lisha ordered me to assassinate her and Lowich. That's how things got to this point."
Shania and Uriah immediately understood what was going on when hearing what Sean had said.
The question was who Mayor Claremento chose to believe.
"Can't you prove your innocence?" Shania asked in resignation.
She had packed up her things but was told she could not leave the mayor's residence, and that could not help
making her feel disappointed.
Sean shook his head slightly and said, "There's more than a simple assassination. It includes Lisha and Aria's fight
over the succession of the mayor of Crosac, so it's complicated. It's not about who's innocent at the end ofthe day;
It's about who among Lisha and Aria that Mayor Claremento is willing to believe and appoint as his
successor."
"So if Claremento is more biased toward Aria, we'll be in trouble?" Even more worried, Shania frowned.
Sean looked from Shania to Uriah with a smile and said, "Don't worry. If Claremento chooses to trust Aria and make
her his successor, we'll be fine."
"He'll let us go?" Shania immediately asked.
"No, he would never let us go if he did choose Aria," Sean shook his head.
"Why are you so confident then? It's over. It's over. We're dead meat this time!"
Shania was on the verge of tears.
Sean continued saying, "But I'll protect you. Believe me. Crosac is only a city in the City-State Union, not a country.
If it's a big country, I wouldn't resist. But we're facing Crosac. Haha, it's a different story then."

As Sean spoke, intense confidence rose from his body.
Influenced by Sean, Shania finally calmed down, and Uriah felt reassured. It was also at this point that Uriah
understood why Zander was willing to follow Sean.
It was lucky for a soldier to have such a powerful and clever Commander.
Shania returned to her room to rest, and Uriah followed her. He must protect Shania.
Once Shania and Uriah left, Sean asked Zander to contact Dorodo.
If they were in ancient times, Sean and his gang would be stuck with no way to contact their men.
However, with the convenience of communication tools such as satellite phones in modern times, many things
could be carried out smoothly, and many arrangements could be prepared in advance as long as there was no
interference.
