The Ex-Husband’s Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 93

Ariel glared at him angrily. She clenched her fists tightly, and she was already on the brink of exploding with

rage.

Leon gulped after sensing Ariel’s murderous gaze and glancing down at Ariel's clenched fist.

His intuition told him that he might get a severe beating from her if he so much as dared to say a single word.

Getting punched by her was the last thing he wanted!

“Okay, okay. I'll go with you...”

Leon smiled meekly.

A wise man would know better than to fight when the odds are stacked against him. In any case, the cooperation

was already struck, so Ariel could do whatever she wanted!

It was not a big deal for Leon, as he could just treat it as accompanying Ariel for a walk.

“Glad you made the smart choice.” Ariel snorted coldly and dragged the incredibly reluctant Leon to the

president’s office. Lily was then asked to print out the relevant documents that would be used for negotiating

with the cooperation.

Leon needed the contract too, so he motioned for Lily to print two more copies in case of an emergency.

At the Wick Group's headquarters, Ariel drove Leon in her BMW and parked outside of the building.

“You got lucky this time, Leon!” Ariel snorted coldly in what was a veiled criticism of Leon.

“I got lucky? How?” Leon was very puzzled.

Ariel said, “One of my seniors from the university happens to be the manager of the Wick Group's public

relations department. I'll give him a call, as | believe it'll help to smoothen the cooperation.”

“No wonder you insisted on cooperating with the Wick Group at the meeting! You have connections in their

company!” Leon suddenly realized.

“It's not as simple as you think. He was one of my admirers, and | wouldn't have asked him for help if there was

no other way! Besides, his position in the company isn’t particularly high, so it remains to be seen if he would be

of any help,” Ariel lamented.

An admirer was different from an ordinary friend, and she did not know how she would have to repay him in the

future if she ended up owing him a favor.

Ariel took out her cell and gave her senior a call.

Not long later, a tall and handsyoung man in a suit, tie, and leather shoes walked out of the company. His

appearance made him look like a business-savvy person.

Ariel brought Leon to meet him.

“Long tno see, Ariel.” The young man’s eyes lit up, and he greeted Ariel with a smile.

Ariel was once acknowledged as the most beautiful woman on campus, for her looks were second only to Iris.

The young man spent more than a year trying to win Ariel's heart, but he was forced to abandon his efforts after

failing to woo her.

It was a while since he last saw Ariel, and she becso much more beautiful than before. Though she lost

sof the youthful allure she had during her student days, she had since gained a more mature and

fashionable charm. Her beauty was-in a word-breathtaking.

“Yeah, it’s been a long time. Thank you for taking the trouble to help me, Gilbert.” Ariel smiled politely.

“Don’t worry about it. It’s no trouble at all. Please con in. We'll talk more inside,” said the young man,

whose nwas Gilbert Florenzi. He smiled, then led Ariel and Leon into the company.

When they reached his office, Gilbert instructed the clerk to pour a cup of coffee each for Ariel and Leon.

“Who is this gentleman you brought along, Ariel?” Gilbert glanced suspiciously at Leon.

“Letintroduce you to him. This is Leon Wolf, a secretary to our company’s president...” Ariel briefly

introduced the two of them.

“Nice to meet you, Mister Florenzi...” Leon smiled cordially and took the initiative to greet the other party.

“Ah, so he’s just a secretary!” Gilbert smiled half-heartedly and looked at Leon with a

certain degree of contempt.
