Avery could barely handle Cayden's rough kiss.

The two's auras were both intimate and unfamiliar with each other as they gradually interwove to

become one.

Probably because they had shared an intimate moment that morning, Cayden felt as though he had

become a beast with an insatiable appetite while he unleashed his wildness on Avery's soft lips.

Even though the woman let out a soft moan in pain, Cayden continued to press his lips hard on hers as

if he was ready to swallow her whole to quench his thirst.

At that moment, the man was like a child who had tasted candy for the very first time.

Cayden had longed to taste Avery. He had used to do that for an entire month. After that morning, he

was reminded again of how sweet she tasted.

A child who had found the perfect candy would do anything just so he could have it rolling around his

tongue and melt it in his warm mouth. Cayden felt the same way because there was nothing he would

not do to taste Avery once again.

To him, the woman was his perfect candy.

Avery was almost out of breath as she continued to be clamped by the man who cared about nothing

but giving her the wettest and roughest kiss of her life.

Avery had lost almost all her senses; she could only follow Cayden's guide while she lost herself in the

kiss.

Even though it was a breezy night in the small town filled with fresh air, Avery found breathing difficult,

since the smell of danger coming off of Cayden had filled her nostrils.

The hormonal scent indicated the man's desire and determination to get what he craved.

Avery only managed to catch a couple of breaths before Cayden slid his tongue back into her mouth to

continue teasing her.

Avery could smell the grass around them when a cool breeze blew by, but instead of sobering her up,

the scent made her feel even more intoxicated.

The temperature inside her mouth slowly increased, and feeling Cayden's warm hands on her skin did

not help with the situation.

“Let's get into the car?” suggested Cayden.

Avery immediately regained some consciousness when the man spoke. With her hands pressed

against Cayden's warm chiseled body, she gazed at him and inquired, “You're... You're not going back

tonight?”

Avery knew what the man would say, so she quickly added before he even had a chance to open his

mouth, “Your grandfather isn't going to like this.”

Cayden, too, had returned to his senses, even though his arm remained wrapped around Avery.

Avery was sure she loved Cayden. Her feelings for him had started off as her admiration for a

handsome senior. After that, she began to admire him as a powerful man of high status. When she

confirmed that the exceptional man was indeed the senior that she had once fallen for, she felt proud.

On top of that, she later realized that they had already had sexual relations since long ago, and she

had even given birth to a pair of twins.

It was at that moment Avery was pleasantly surprised, and she was over the moon at the revelation.

She was especially happy after learning that Cayden was still interested in her.

Their relationship was no longer innocent or ambiguous. It had turned into something strong,

straightforward, and extremely intimate. For them, it had become a pure desire to become one with

each other, physically and spiritually.

There was sheer determination in Cayden's eyes. If Avery wanted to be with him, nobody would be

able to stop him from making that happen.

“So what if he doesn't agree?” Cayden questioned rhetorically in a low and deep voice before scooping

Avery up in his arms.

Then, he walked across the weedy courtyard and headed for the front door as if he knew the place like

the back of his hand.

“What are you trying to do to me? We can't just...” Avery looked nervously at Cayden before trying to

break free.

“What else can I do to you?”

Cayden reached into Avery's pocket and pulled out a pair of keys.

The big one was for the gate, and the small one was for the front door.

Cayden remembered old keys like those because he used to have one when he was still a student. He

used to live in the best two-story building in Livingsfill.

“Avery, are you inside?” asked Christopher in a slightly raised voice with a flashlight in hand.

He did not want to be too loud because he worried he would disturb the neighbors.

However, Avery would not be able to hear him if he called out too softly.

The gate to the courtyard was closed but not locked, so Christopher went in and looked around with the

help of his flashlight.

Still, he did not find anyone but used items at the place. Since he grew up in the city, many of the things

he saw were unfamiliar to him. The man was clueless about what most of them were for.

Christopher did not appreciate the ancient-looking courtyard, and he did not like such a grassy

courtyard very much.

“I don't think Avery's here. This place is so dark that it's bone-chilling,” commented Anna.

“Didn't you say that you and Avery passed by here when you were getting groceries today? Did you

notice if the gate was locked?” Christopher continued to shine his flashlight around while talking to his

colleague.

“How would I be able to see if the gate was locked from across the street? All I saw was how many

stories the house has and the condition of its doors and windows. We also talked about her childhood,

but that was it,” replied Anna while folding her arms across her chest.

In the rural town, the night got so cold that it was enough to make anyone shiver.

Christopher led his colleague out while he stated, “I don't think they would've locked the gate. Just look

around; there's nothing here worth stealing.”

“You're right.” Anna agreed with the man. “Avery probably didn't stay long after coming here. Having

lived in this town for so many years, she must have relatives around these parts, right? Maybe she just

went to visit them.”

The two then got farther from the house, and when they reached outside, Christopher shone his

flashlight at Cayden's car. “I thought Boss was looking for Avery, so where is he? If you ask me, I think

Avery's pretty lucky that she got to be Boss' cousin-in-law. I mean, the man came all the way here just

to help save his cousin's marriage.”

Since they could not find Avery, Christopher and Anna eventually decided to leave.

Meanwhile, it was complete darkness in the house, since no light was turned on.

There was a bed on the north side of the house. However, since it was wet and covered with dust, it

was not fit for use.

Hanging on a window on the south side were ordinary-looking curtains. Even though the inside of the

house was pitch black, Avery still instinctively closed the curtains when she saw her colleagues walking

into the courtyard.

As she was doing that, Cayden suddenly went into her from behind, and immediately, their breathing

intensified.
