Chapter 265
Penelope was in her bedroom, slapping on a face mask. With a new agate necklace in hand, she was
planning on attending the Lindberg family’s house party on Saturday. Her spirits were high.
Suddenly, the door swung open. Assuming it was Margo, Penelope snapped, “Margo, you’re really
pushing it, barging into my room like this!” She looked up and saw Allison standing in the doorway.
“Allison, what are you doing here?‘ Penelope asked.
Once she’d gotten over the shock, Penelope yelled out, “Margo, Margo, who let this person in?!”
Margo was downstairs. Hearing the commotion, she grumbled, “Idiot, can’t even keep one Allison out!”
She then hobbled upstairs.
Allison strode into Penelope’s room, heading to the vanity to rummage through the storage box. She
was looking for her necklace, but it wasn’t there. She then checked in Penelope’s walk–in closet, but

Penelope, watching Margo hustle upstairs, yelled, “Call the police! Call the police now!”
Allison turned around, smirking slightly. “Sure, call the police! My fingerprints are all over the necklace,
Let’s see how they feel about you stealing my spare key, breaking into my house, and stealing my
stuff!”
Penelope gritted her teeth, stopping Margo in her tracks.
That stuff is rightfully mine. Lucian gave it to me. You kept it for yourself, but I know what you’re up to.
You’re playing both sides, aren’t you? On one hand, you’re with Jason. But on the other, you’re trying to
lure Lucian, right?” Penelope said.
“It was my mother’s!” Allison’s voice dropped to a frosty tone, “Give me back the necklace!”
“Why should I believe it was your mother’s?” Penelope was having none of it. She clutched at her chest
where the necklace was hanging.
Ever since she got the necklace, she’d been wearing it non–stop, fearing she might lose it, “This is
clearly the necklace Lucian gave to me! Margo, what are you standing there for? Get her out! If I see
her in the Flanagan family home again, you can kiss your paycheck goodbye!”
Margo clenched her teeth and grabbed Allison by the arm, only to have Allison grab her back. Margo
yelped in pain. How was Allison so strong?
“Let go, Allison! Let go! Ah, it hurts so much!” Margo said.
Allison shoved Margo aside and walked straight up to Penelope. She suddenly felt that she’d been too
weak, giving Penelope and Leah the chance to threaten her. This was why she’d kept her patience until
now. She’d moved out, distanced herself from the Flanagan family, but Penelope? She kept prodding
her, threatening her, even breaking into her home to steal her mother’s necklace!
Her mother had once told her the necklace was important.
Penelope backed away, fear in her eyes. She said to Allison, “What are you going to do, Allison? Don’t

closer, your mother Grace will be in danger. I’ll make sure she never wakes up in the hospital!”
Allison stopped, her hands clenched and her gaze icy. A strange smile spread across her face. She
pulled out her phone, which was recording. She hit play. “If you dare come any closer, your mother
Grace will be in danger. I’ll make sure she never wakes up in the hospital!”
Penelope heard the words, her face instantly turning pale.
“Allison!” Penelope lunged, trying to snatch the phone, but she hadn’t expected Allison to be so strong.
She yelled out, “Margo, what are you doing? Come help!”
Margo rushed over, as did Linda. They were all tangled up.
Penelope was pregnant, so Allison didn’t dare use too much force. But she wasn’t about to let herself
be bullied. She grabbed Penelope’s hair, and Penelope screamed.
Allison was overpowered by their combined strength, and her phone slipped from her hand. Margo
quickly bent down to pick it up, but Linda saw what she was doing and kicked it away
Before Margo could get the phone, she fell down the stairs, tumbling all the way from the second floor
to the first.
