Chapter 1061 Glamorous Like A Rose
Nan Xing's obstinacy took both Ning Ran and Lu Jingyuan by surprise.
They had never seen a man insist on proposing marriage at a woman's home, even when she disagreed.
Marriage was a matter of two, yet Nan Xing turned it into a one-man show.
He believed that by taking the necessary steps, he could touch Lu Jingyuan's heart. Everything else was secondary
to him.
Lu Jingyuan was well aware of her family's situation. She was worried that if Nan Xing caused a huge commotion, it
would become a huge hassle.
Left with no other choice, she had to inform her elder brother, Lu Tiance.
She felt that only her older brother could stop Nan Xing, who seemed to have gone mad, preventing the latter from
going any further into insanity.
Lu Tiance quickly answered his phone, “Yuanyuan? What's up?”
Lu Tiance cared the most about his younger sister. Whenever he saw her number on his phone, he would become
anxious, worrying about what might have happened to her.
“I'm fine. It's just that Nan Xing has gone mad. He says he wants to go to the capital to propose marriage. But he
doesn't know where we live, so he's been asking around everywhere. I'm worried that Dad's guards might notice
this, which could lead to misunderstandings.”
Lu Tiance was a bit confused. “He wants to propose marriage? Did you accept his proposal?”
“I didn't. I never accepted his advances! That's why I said he's gone mad!” Lu Jingyuan exclaimed.
“You didn't accept his advances? Then why did you initially say he was your boyfriend?”
That question left Lu Jingyuan speechless.
When Nan Xing first took her away from the capital, he indeed appeared as her boyfriend.
“Well, it's not exactly like we're together, but you get the gist of it. But no matter what, the step leading up to a
marriage is still a long way off. He's proposing marriage even before anything is set in stone. I really can't believe it.
In short, you need to find a way to stop him from going any further, or things will really get out of hand,” said Lu
Jingyuan.

“Thanks, Tiance. Don't work too hard, and take care of your health.”
“I'm fine. Let's leave it at that for now. I'll handle things.”
“All right. Bye, Tiance.” Lu Jingyuan hung up the phone.
After Lu Tiance ended the call on this end, he pondered for a moment before dialing another number.
“There's a person named Nan Xing. He's from Huacheng. Within this month, forbid him from booking any flights or
train tickets to the capital.”
“Yes.”
After wrapping things up, Lu Tiance resumed his work.
At that moment, a secret service agent suddenly came in, announcing that they had apprehended a woman in the
restricted area, who was now in custody.
Nan Xing's obstinacy took both Ning Ran and Lu Jingyuan by surprise.
When asked why she ventured into the forbidden zone, the woman replied that she came looking for Lu Tiance.
Under the dim light, a petite figure huddled on the chair in the detention room.
To reach the restricted area, one must cross a vast desert.
The woman was covered in dust, with sand in her hair and eyebrows.
Lu Tiance thought. How did she manage to get here? What would she do if she encountered a wolf?
Upon seeing Lu Tiance enter, the woman stood up and greeted him with a radiant smile.
Though covered in dust and grime, her smile still had the power to captivate anyone in sight, instantly lighting up
the entire detention room.
“How could it be you?” Lu Tiance exclaimed in surprise.
“It's me, Tian Ce. It's been a while.”
As soon as she saw Lu Tiance, all of Rong Rong's fatigue seemed to vanish.
“How did you end up here?” Lu Tiance was truly astonished.
“I'm here to see you,” Rong Rong said casually.
Lu Tiance started to feel anxious. I'm here on a confidential work assignment. How could she possibly know? This is
no small matter! I must get to the bottom of this!
Lu Tiance's expression turned serious. “How did you know I was here?”
“Last time, you mentioned you were heading to the Northwest region and planned to stay there for a long time. I
remembered that. Then I came to the Northwest region, wondering if I would run into you. I know you love
barbecue, and whenever you're in a new city, you always seek out the best barbecue joint. So, I've been asking
around with a picture of you to see if anyone has seen you. Because of how outstanding you look, someone
remembered seeing you. The boss of a barbecue joint mentioned someone who can drink a lot, saying the
customer downed two jugs of liquor and acted as if it was nothing. I knew then it had to be you. And then, I found
my way here. Because I can probably guess the nature of your job, it wasn't hard to find this place. “I'm sorry,
Tiance. I know I made a mistake, but you can't blame me.” After finishing her sentence, Rong Rong smiled
sheepishly, a mix of shyness and mischief in her expression.
Lu Tiance originally planned to lose his temper, but when he saw Rong Rong's smile, all his anger dissipated. As
expected of a top student from Fork University. She's too brilliant. Incredibly, she managed to find me without the
aid of any professional intelligence system! The fact that she could find this place just from a single photo and a
clue about eating barbecue and drinking alcohol is simply unbelievable.
“What are you looking for me for? Why didn't you call me but chose to cross the desert yourself?” Lu Tiance asked
coldly.
“Can I take a shower first? Also, I-I'm a bit hungry,” Rong Rong said timidly.
Lu Tiance was momentarily taken aback again. “All right. I'll arrange it for you. If anyone asks—”
“I'm your sister!” Rong Rong quickly responded.
“I'm your sister!” Rong Rong quickly responded.
Lu Tiance was at a loss for words. This young girl was too clever. She has already said everything I have to say.
After taking a bath, Rong Rong emerged with a bare face.
The ugly duckling who was once down in the dumps was now giving off a vibe glamorous like a rose, yet pure like a
lily.
Rong Rong's face turned red with embarrassment as she noticed Lu Tiance repeatedly glancing at her. Lu Tiance

The meal was fetched from the cafeteria, a full, large bowl brimming with both meat and vegetables. The dishes
were incredibly abundant.
Rong Rong took it, gently expressed her gratitude, and then began to eat heartily.
Rong Rong was the type of girl who was both quiet and beautiful, with an incredibly elegant way of eating.
But for all her elegance, it was still clear that she was famished.
She finished the large bowl of rice and vegetables, leaving not a single grain behind.
Then, somewhat embarrassed, she glanced at Lu Tiance.
“Is it enough?” After Lu Tiance finished his sentence, he himself felt that he had gone a bit too far. She's already
had such a large bowl, and yet I'm asking her if it's enough. It almost feels like I'm implying she's a glutton.
“That's enough. Thank you, Tiance.” Rong Rong's face turned red again.
Lu Tiance handed her a bottle of water. “All right. Can you now tell me why you were looking for me?”
Rong Rong's face turned even redder. “Actually, it's nothing much. I just wanted to see you.”
“Why didn't you call me? Why did you have to cross the desert by yourself? Do you know how dangerous that is?”
“I've never done this by myself before. I just want to take on the challenge. If I had called you, you definitely
wouldn't have let me come, right?” Rong Rong asked in return.
Indeed, this was true. Lu Tiance agreed with her.
However, he still didn't understand. Why did Rong Rong take such a big risk to find me?
He had mentioned to her that he would be working in the Northwest region for a while, but there was no need for
her to drop by.
She was studying in Horington, which was quite a distance from there.
“Don't you have to go to school? Why are you running around everywhere?”
“I've taken a leave of absence. Our teacher is very understanding. As long as I can pass the exams, it's fine.
Learning is for better understanding and changing the world. Reading books without comprehension is
meaningless.”
Lu Tiance found it difficult to refute those words. He had never been exceptionally skilled at debating and knew he
couldn't out-talk Rong Rong.
