Brian chuckled. “It’s fine. If it hurts too much, I’ll just squeeze your hand.”
Rosalynn ignored him and pressed the needle into his skin.
Brian frowned as it broke through, his muscles tensing in reflex.
She sure hadn’t lied, this hurt like hell.
“Did your grandfather teach you this?” es,” Rosalynn replied nonchalantly.

“Don’t call me that. I won’t be your wife in a month,” Rosalynn grumbled.
Brian chose not to acknowledge it and simply changed the subject.
“Honey, have you ever thought about looking for your biological parents? If you want to, I can help you
find them.”
“That won’t be necessary,” Rosalynn said indifferently.
“Honey…”
“Don’t say anything else. Just lie there quietly for twenty minutes.”
Rosalynn finished her treatment and went to drink some water.
