Brian emerged, clad in his usual attire: a crisp shirt and tailored suit pants, his tall frame imposing in the
soft Light.
“Brian,” Sanford greeted him, smiling.
Brian acknowledged him with a nod, his gaze falling on Rosalynn’s wrist still in Sanford’s grasp. “Are
you welcoming me?” he asked.
Quickly releasing Rosalynn’s wrist, Sanford grinned. “Brian, what a coincidence! Rosalynn Lives
downstairs.”
Brian knew, of course.

“Don’t just stand there. Come in!” Sanford urged once more.
Rosalynn frowned, just wanting to return home.
But before she could respond, Brian wrapped an arm around her waist and said, “Let’s go.”
