Before Darcie could recollect herself, Trevor’s voice came through, "Darcie, it's me."

Darcie's heart skipped a beat. After a long pause, she said," I'm glad you're back. You'll never know how terrified we

were when we received that phone call from the embassy yesterday. We thought that you were... It's great that

you're safe now. I'll have Sandra prepare some extra dishes when you come home with your dad. It's New Year's

Eve today; let's have dinner together. Forget about the bad things that had happened."

Trevor smiled lightly, barely noticeable, "Thank you, Darcie. We'll be home very soon."

Darcie then told them to be careful on the road before hanging up.

now?
