Chapter 1183
Vermont did not quite believe Stella's denial of knowing Spencer. He could tell that something was off judging by her
reaction. It seemed like there was more to them than just classmates.
He was about to say something when Stella interrupted him, "Let's go grab some food, Felicity."
"Okay. Sure," Felicity replied.
Once the two women left the table, Vermont leaned into Keegan’s ear and whispered, “There's something fishy
going on with your partner. She’s the type who can’t take her eyes off a handsome guy, but she barely looks at
Spencer. She would even avert her gaze everytime their eyes met. Since when she has ever been shy around
guys?"
Vermont's words caused Keegan to suspect that something was going on. He had also noticed Stella's unusual

doesn't find him attractive."
Vermont did not say a word. 'I didn't know Keegan could be so protective over Stella,' he thought. 'Still, I think
there's more to the story than what she is letting on.'
At the food section of the wedding, Stella grabbed an egg tart for Felicity with a pair of tongs.
Felicity picked up the pastry and ate it as she asked, "Stella, isn't Spencer your ex-boyfriend whom you dated for
two weeks before you guys broke up?"
Stella did not answer. Felicity confirmed her suspicions after seeing her reaction. “Ah hah! I knew it! There's no way
you would forget him since we've only graduated not too long ago, especially since he's so good- looking.”
Stella sighed. "Please don't say anything about this in front of Keegan, or he'll get upset."
"He might've been fine with it if you had just admitted it earlier. Why did you even pretend like you didn't know
Spencer? I'd be upset too if I were Keegan." Felicity paused a while before saying, "Wait a minute. They look so
similar; you clearly have a type. You're not using Keegan as Spencer's substitute, are you?*
Stella's eyelids twitched when she heard that. "What are you talking about? They're nothing alike. You’ve been
watching too many dramas.’
Felicity did not care much about the resemblance between the two men. Instead, she was more curious about how
Stella managed to date the campus heartthrob. "Come on, tell me. How did you win him over?"
"Why can't it be the other way around? Maybe he was the one who hit on me first," said Stella.
Felicity scoffed and said, "I would believe you if you looked the way you do now back in high school. I've seen the
pictures, you know? You literally weighed at least 130 pounds back then. I don't think an attractive teenage boy
would've wanted to hit on you."
Stella's face darkened upon hearing that. "Excuse you? I didn't weigh 130 pounds. I was 120 pounds at most. Plus,
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmI'm tall. It's normal for me to weigh a little more than the other girls in school.’
"Okay, fine. So who was the initiator of the relationship?"
Stella hesitated for a moment and finally said, "I randomly confessed to him one day, and he accepted it."
'It was surprisingly easy to win him over,' she thought.
"I don't think that confession was random." A cold voice suddenly came from behind her.
Stella's hands trembled, and she almost dropped her plate. Thankfully, Spencer was there to catch it. "Why did you
pretend not to know me earlier? " he asked.
Felicity's mouth dropped open wide. 'Oh, shit. She's been caught red- handed!' She continued to eat her egg tart,
pretending nothing had happened while eavesdropping on their conversation.
Stella fidgeted around and thought, 'Everything’s going to be fine as long as I remain calm.'
"Well, you have a different status now, and we’re no longer in the same circle. I just don't want people to get the
wrong idea," she said.
Spencer pondered upon her answer and asked, "Who would get the wrong idea, exactly? Keegan? I thought you
guys were divorced."
