Chapter 466

Savanna stayed in the ward and sat by the window, thinking over all the things that had happened

over the years.

During this time, Brandon came to the hospital several times, but the door of Savanna’s ward was locked.

Brandon knocked on the door, but no one responded.

Brandon knew that Savanna was inside, and he just stood outside to be with her. No one was allowed to smoke in

the hospital, so he could only pinch the cigarette in his hand.

The next day, Brandon received a message.

Savanna said in the message: “Come over today. We need to talk.”

After sending the message, Savanna held the phone tightly in her palm. Tears slid down from the corners of her

eyes and hit her palm.

Moments later, someone knocked on the door.

Brandon’s deep voice came from behind the door. “Savanna, open the door. I’ve been waiting for you outside.”

A trace of surprise flashed through Savanna’s eyes. She got up from bed. The injury on her foot was still painful, so

she could only limp slowly to the door.

Savanna unlocked the door. The man outside the ward heard the twisting sound of the lock and consciously opened

the door to enter the ward.

“How are you? Does your foot still hurt?”

Savanna ignored Brandon and slowly moved to the bedside to sit down. She had not slept or eaten

for the past two days. She was especially haggard, and her lips had become dark green.

“Savanna, you must be hungry. I’ll order you something to eat.” Brandon took out his phone and called the

restaurant.

Brandon dialed the number and waited for the other party to answer the call.

At the same time, Savanna said in her voice hoarse, “Brandon, I’ve thought it through.”

Brandon suddenly tightened his grip on his phone. He pretended as if he had heard nothing just now and

deliberately said, “It’s the restaurant you like the most. I know that your appetite is definitely not good now. The

Savanna ignored Brandon’s words and continued, “We are really not suitable for each other. We shouldn’t be

together.”

Savanna’s voice was not loud, but it was clear enough to be heard in this empty and silent ward. Brandon’s heart

sank, and the expression on his face immediately froze. But he still persisted on the topic just now.

Brandon said, “What’s wrong with this restaurant? Why don’t they pick up my call?”

“Let’s get a divorce.”

These five short words were said in a steady and loud voice. Savanna almost roared them out. After she finished

speaking, she felt that her throat was very painful, and she seemed to have lost all of her strength all of a sudden.

Brandon certainly heard it. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have thrown his phone out. The phone smashed onto the wall,

making a bang and breaking into pieces.

“Why didn’t anyone answer the phone? My phone is broken, and I can’t get through to the restaurant. Don’t worry,

I’ll drive my car and buy some food for you.”

As Brandon spoke, he turned around and wanted to rush out.

Savanna calmly sat on the bed. She said in her cold and hoarse voice, “Brandon, you have heard it.

Don’t pretend.”

After Brandon heard this, he turned around, strode to the bed, and stood in front of Savanna.

Brandon lowered his eyes and asked, “Why? Why do you want to leave me? Tell me why!”

Savanna raised her head to look at Brandon’s eyes. At that moment, thousands of reasons flashed

through Savanna’s mind.

Their union was Savanna’s one-sided wish, and it was good for them to be apart now.

Savanna even thought it would be best if they wouldn’t meet again.

But Savanna only said, “I don’t love you anymore.”

Savanna’s tone sounded calm. Her every word was like a sharp knife, accurately stabbing into

Brandon’s heart.

“I don’t believe it.” Brandon gritted his teeth, and he suddenly tasted blood in his mouth. His eyes also turned red,

as if he would cry blood at any time.

“I’m tired. I don’t want to be with you anymore. That’s it.”

Savanna did not want to talk to Brandon anymore, so she only said, “Mr. Cassel, please go back. My lawyer will go

to you and tell you what to do next.”

Realizing that Savanna was unwilling to see him again, Brandon became furious. Brandon’s trembling hands

uncontrollably reached out and held Savanna’s shoulders tightly.

“You want to divorce me? Aren’t you afraid that I’ll marry another woman right after divorce?”

Hearing this, Savanna just smiled indifferently. Her eyes looked gentle, and there was not even a bit of extra

emotion in them.

Savanna said faintly, “Then I wish you happiness and live a happy life with the woman you love.”

It was not a retort, nor a curse. There was even a smile on the corner of Savanna’s mouth. She was actually

sincerely blessing Brandon.

Brandon was so angry that he roared, “If you dare to divorce me now, you won’t get any of the properties that we

agreed on before marriage!”

Hearing this, Savanna was even calmer and did not even blink her eyes.

“I don’t want your money. I just want to take the children and leave you.”

“What did you say?” Brandon was so furious that he reached out and wanted to grab Savanna’s

neck.

Brandon’s hand reached an inch away from her neck, but in the end, he struggled to stop.

Although Brandon was furious, he tried to control himself and not hurt Savanna.

Brandon said, “I can’t give you the children. If you want the children, you must raise them with me!”

“I don’t want your properties anymore. Why don’t you give me the children? Why don’t you give my

children back to me?”

There were finally some changes in Savanna’s emotions and expression, but it was only because

of the children.

Savanna even saw Brandon as an enemy because of the two children.

Savanna was so cold and distant.

It was as if they were not the ones who had sex affectionately with each other yesterday.

It was as if they had been holding grudges against each other for many years.

“I also want to ask you why you suddenly want to divorce me?”

Brandon was not as arrogant as he was before. He was now a mere supplicant.

“I don’t want to say the same thing twice. Either you give me the children, or we meet in court!”

After saying this, Savanna turned her head away and said coldly, “Mr. Cassel, please leave.”

Brandon looked at her indifferent face, and his heart seemed to fall into an ice hole. He sneered, “Savanna, you are

so heartless.”

“Since that’s the case, why don’t you divorce me as soon as possible? Just like how I fulfilled your wish.”

“Fulfill my wish?” Brandon suddenly looked up at the ceiling and laughed with tears coming out of his eyes.

“How is this fulfilling my wish? It’s killing me!”

As soon as Brandon finished these words, he saw Savanna take out a shiny fruit knife from the cabinet.

Savanna held the hilt of the knife and pressed the sharp blade against her neck.

“Mr. Cassel, please divorce me. Otherwise…”

Savanna was really determined to get a divorce. Otherwise, she would not use her life in exchange for a divorce.

The sharp blade cut Savanna’s tender skin, and a string of blood emerged from her fair neck.
