pushovers? What do you mean, not serious? All we want is an apology. If your child gets hurt from
being bullied, is this what you’d say?”
Matthew looked awkward. “I-I’m just doing this for your good. Missus Chesire. I’m just…”
He vaguely gestured at Edith and said softly, “The Eberherds shouldn’t be messed with. You should
just leave!”
Susanne was furious.
