"I know I'm not worthy of Hayden, but people always aspire to greater heights. Why shouldn't I find a man who is better than me? Are you suggesting that I must marry someone equally as impoverished as I am because my family is poor?" Shelly confidently countered Seraphina.
"Ha! I understand your desire to climb higher," Seraphina responded.
"I have, indeed, set my sights on achieving more in life, but even if Hayden wasn't the CEO of Dream Maker, I would still fall for him." Shelly blushed.

Shelly shook her head.
She had only recently started dating Hayden, and she was completely unaware of his business affairs. Moreover, even if they were to get married, given Hayden's personality, he would likely never disclose his business matters to her because she simply would not understand.
"Only my family can help him," Seraphina boasted proudly.
"How is that possible...? Can't Hayden's father help him?" Shelly, although unfamiliar with business matters, knew that Elliot was a formidable figure.
Given Elliot's connections and influence in Aryadelle, he could undoubtedly assist Hayden.
"I see that you have no understanding of Hayden's family at all." Seraphina sneered. "Hayden and his father have no connection in their careers. His father doesn't interfere with his affairs, or rather, he doesn't allow his father to meddle. If Hayden's entrepreneurial venture fails in Aryadelle, he's likely to return to Bridgedale. If you don't believe me, you can go to Elliot's house and ask. See for yourself if what I'm saying is true." Shelly remained silent and decided she would find out the truth for herself.
"Shelly, I can pay you to leave Hayden. If you truly love him, you should step aside. Hayden's career in Aryadelle can only prosper if he's with me!" Seraphina took out a bank card from her bag and handed it to Shelly.

In the evening, she returned to Elliot's mansion after work.
Hayden had not returned home. He had clearly becbusier since the public holidays in May.
He worked in his study until late at night before returning to the bedroom, and Shelly was ofhalf-asleep by then so she did not get to speak to him. Content belongs to en.sw"Shelly, are you tired from work?" Avery walked up to her with Audrey in her arms.
"Not really. I'm not tired." Shelly smiled at Avery and then at her daughter. "Aunty Avery, may I ask you a question?" Avery did not hesitate to respond, "Of course. What's your question? I'll tell you everything I know for sure." Shelly nodded and forced a smile. "Let's go outside to talk, then! I need to ask you something about Hayden." "Sure!" Avery handed Audrey to the nanny and followed Shelly to the backyard.
The fruit trees in the backyard were growing rapidly, and Avery checked each of them before turning her head to look at Shelly. "Shelly, you said you have squestions for me, right? What are they?" Content belongs to en.sw"Aunty Avery, Hayden seems close with his father, but I heard today that they are separate individuals career-wise..." "That's right! The fields their companies work in are completely different," Avery said. "Hayden doesn't like it when others get involved in his business, so we never ask him about his company. He has always dealt with troubles himself and will never tell us about them. He is stubborn and ambitious, which I'm sure you can already tell by now after spending stwith him."
