Layla got ahead of him and said, "I can get you to help if | have a headache in the middle of the night."
Eric instantly swallowed the words he meant to say, and after a few moments of silence, he said, "You will take the bed, and | will
sleep on the floor."
She strode in and shut the door behind her. "What point are you trying to prove? Even my parents have approved of us... Wait, no.
All my relatives know that we are together. We are bound to sleep in the sbed at spoint, right? Don't worry. | won't do
anything to you, not when you are this weak."
She set her pillow down next to him, and Eric pursed his lips at the sight of their pillows resting next to one another.

He felt conflicted and awkward, but Layla was right.
From the moment he handed his keys to Layla, he had accepted that he would be spending the rest of his days with her.
"I'll tell you the truth!" Layla lifted the blanket and got in bed as she stared at his flushed face. "I have had trouble sleeping in a
strange bed, and since | have no one to talk to, | get bored. Just chat within bed later."
On the contrary, Eric had been sleeping well as he was still recovering from the surgery.
"Why don't you go hto rest, then?" Eric walked over to stand next to the bed.
"I'm not going back." She covered her legs with the blanket. "I will get used to it after staying here for a few more days. It's pouring
out there and you want to chaseout? How cruel."
Eric scratched his head in response to herplaint. "I don't mean that. I'm just worried that you won't sleep well."
"I can't just stay with my parents for the rest of my life simply because | have a small issue adjusting to new environments, right?"
she retorted. "If you are so worried, why don't youe and stay withat my parents?"
Eric instantly fell silent as he could not stand living with Elliot even if Avery allowed him to stay with them.
"Go shower! We will talk once youe back," Layla said cheerfully.
Eric hadpletely given up and accepted her.

After Eric went into the bathroom, she got out of bed and went to the living room to get the vase.
Like Avery, Layla loved flowers as well.
Eric's room was simple with only a few shades of colors, so it could look dull. Since Layla had decided to move in, she fully
intended on giving the room a livelier look.
The next day, Ivy received a call from Layla, saying that she needed to stay with Eric and could not go shopping with Ivy.
"Stay with him, then! It's not really the kind of weather for shopping out there anyway!" Ivy said without hesitation.
"I've already ordered the clothes. Just talk to Mr. Gardner so that the station will accept the clothes," Layla added.
