Arriving at the restaurant, I finally called Atlas. It turned out he was also having dinner with sguests. Surprised by the quick end of my meeting, he asked, "Why so soon?" With a triumphant tone, I replied, "It didn't go well. I just wanted to stand up for Eleanor, and she vented the anger that has been building up all these years." "Oh! Impressive! You messed up the meeting, yet you're still so happy. Should I cover? I'll have Dylan pick you up," he asked tenderly, his tone filled with indulgence. Eleanor looked at us with envy.
"No, thanks. Eleanor and I are at the seafood restaurant. We're in the mood for fish. Once you're ready, cand pickup. We'll be waiting here," I told him. "Alright, see you later," he said before we hung up.
We ordered the fish we each wanted, chatting about the earlier events while enjoying the unique seafood. It was a delightful time.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs we were about to finish, an unexpected incident disrupted our peace. Suddenly, a person appeared in front of us, startling me. Upon closer look, it was Kimberly.
I steadied myself and looked at Kimberly, who had smokey eye makeup.
"Ms. Kimberly, is there something you need?" "Chloe, do you feel guilty seeing me?" She asked maliciously.
I calmly looked at her and countered, "Why should I feel guilty?" Kimberly, irritated by my response, scowled. "Why? How dare you askwhy? You're surprisingly composed. Who gave you the courage?" I glanced at her and pulled out a napkin, dabbing at the corners of my mouth before saying gently, "Kimberly, you shouldn't be askingthat question. Instead, you should be asking yourself, who gave you the courage? Hmm?" She snapped her fingers behind her.
Suddenly, several young men stood up from a nearby table. They were dressed in a peculiar mix of fashion and untidiness, walking swaggeringly toward us.
I gave them a cold look, sitting there without any reaction. Eleanor seemed uneasy, glancing nervously atas she reached for her phone.
Before she could pick it up, one of the guys raised his hand and slapped Eleanor on the back of her head. She exclaimed, "What are you doing?!" The guy stared at Eleanor arrogantly and said, "Did I say you can use your phone?" "This is my phone. Why should I listen to you? You-" Before Eleanor could finish her sentence, ove raised his hand again. She screamed, clutching her head.
I shouted, "Don't you dare!" Startled by my sudden outburst, the guy looked at me.

If you dare to cause trouble, I don't mind arranging a reunion for you with your family members behind bars! You know I can do it! I stared at her without hesitation, my gaze intimidating.
"Chloe, do you think the Terrell family has no one left? There will be consequences for what youûve done to our family. You're living a comfortable life every day! Why?!" She shouted in frustration and swept the plate in front ofoff the table. The plate flew far and shattered on the ground with a crisp sound.
The remaining pieces of fish on the plate flew onto my clothes, and the dipping sauce, stuck to them, making my light blue dress look somewhat alarming.
This loud crash caught the attention of everyone in the restaurant, and fear was reflected in their eyes. Eleanor screamed, her voice trembling, "What are you doing?!" The guy next to her immediately shouted at her, "Shut up! Call for help again, and I'll hit you!" Saying this, he raised his hand again.
