35. Unfinished business “Where the hell is my daughter?!!” Luna Martha’s yell echoed across the pack house. Fear gripped the
Beta, Gamma, and other warriors, causing them to step back, unable to lift their heads. She had just
gone to visit her mother for three days, but she had no clue that she would lose her daughter less than
24 hours later. Julie, the Beta
female, stood behind her Luna with her bags. She glared fiercely at her mate, who had bowed his head
in shame. She had asked her mate not to accompany Noah, but he had not heard her.
Julie had been the one who had alerted Martha of Adira’s absence. She had told her the whole story
about
locking Adira in a room then forcing her to marry an unknown Alpha. The Luna had gathered enough
information to return to the pack as quickly as possible, but she was late. Her daughter had already fled,
and she had no idea where she had gone.
“Martha,” Alpha Sawyer dashed down the stairs, only to be confronted by his enraged mate, who was
glaring at
him. Why had she returned so quickly? The Alpha was in deep trouble.
“Calm down, Martha…”
“Where is my Adira?” She interrupted him before he could finish.
“Relax and follow me in here. I’ll tell you everything that happened,” he attempted to clarify.
“I don’t f*****g want to go anywhere. Tell me where my daughter is!” Martha demanded at the same time
that Noah entered the pack house.
“She ran away from the pack house yesterday,” when the family’s eldest son stepped in front of his
mother, he exuded pride. Due to the fact that he was about to take over his father, he had chosen to
assert his dominance over his mother first. He believed that it was an excellent method for him to assert
his control over the pack. His sisters were obstructing his ascension to the role of Alpha.
“Run away?” His mother frowned in disbelief.
“Yes, I believe she has a lover somewhere like Kiara had Alpha Xavier….” Noah’s head snapped to the
side before
he could finish his sentence. When Martha vented her rage at her bastard son, a stinging ache emerged
in his cheek. He clenched his teeth as his eyes turned red, but he couldn’t utter a single word in
complaint.
“Don’t even think of lying to me again! I never gave you the authority to humiliate or accuse my girls.
Nobody understands them better than me, so don’t blame her for fleeing for no reason. She did it
because you forced a marriage on her without her permission. Tell me, where is Adira?!” Martha
demanded, growling. Sawyer then grabbed his son’s collar, pushing him back.
“This is your final warning, Noah. Never dare to say anything between your mother and I! You also know
better than to yell in front of your mother,” the Alpha admonished with a lethal glare. The offended Alpha
blood had been standing behind his father with an offended expression. He had been slapped in front of
the warriors who were a
lower rank than him! He was simply waiting for the appropriate moment to exact his vengeance on
everyone. Sawyer gazed at his Luna, whose face clearly told him that if he didn’t calm her down, he
would lose her forever. She was going to take her luggage and leave him for good, just like she had
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtalready warned him.
“I’m not sure where Adira is. I sent my men out to search for her, but they were unable to locate her. So
we are
still looking for her. I’m going to bring her back to this pack house no matter what,” Sawyer promised his
mate.
“You want to drag her back so that you can forcibly marry her off? Sawyer, what exactly are you thinking?
She is our child. What made you think that you could do this to her?” The Alpha couldn’t help but notice
the
disappointment in his wife’s eyes, which was a significant red flag for him that things had gotten out of
hand. He was
worried and was going to relay what Noah had told him about Adira leaking Ardara Moon Pack’s secret
information to Kiara. Clearly, his mistreated daughter was now attempting to get revenge on him by
relaying the information to Sirius Bright Pack’s Alpha. As a punishment for betraying the pack, he had set
up Adira’s marriage to someone
else.
“Yes, but I have reasons,” he explained.
“No excuse can justify your actions, Sawyer. It’s a pity our daughter felt unsafe in her own pack and had
to flee. She is still young, she has nowhere to go. Have you considered how I would cope if something
happened to her? I’ve already lost Kiara because of you, and now I’ve lost Adira as well,” Martha’s eyes
were a little moist, which worried her
mate.
“Martha, don’t cry. I’ll track down Adira. I will…”
“Enough, I will find her on my own,” Luna showed her hand to her mate.
“I’ve given you plenty of opportunities, but you’ve always let me down. Now I don’t see why I should stay
in this pack. I don’t need a mate, and I don’t need a son from now on!” Martha declared, picking up her
bag. She was leaving the Ardara Moon Pack for good.
“Martha, please don’t leave. I’ll explain,” before she could walk through the door, Sawyer grabbed her
hand, snatching her bag. He was renowned for his ego and dominance, but his wolf was insanely in love
with his mate and there was no way he was willing to lose her. She was rejecting him, he couldn’t
tolerate it.
“Explain? All I want is my daughter back!” She shrieked, drawing her hand back. Sawyer was in a bind,
unsure of how to get Adira back because he had no idea where she had fled to.
“Adira is in my pack,” the roar of the Alpha resonated throughout the Ardara Moon’s pack house.
Everyone turned to find the speaker, only to see the twin Alphas standing at the door. Sawyer grimaced
witnessing his foes on his territory, but how could he forget that this territory was now in their hands?
Their uninformed visit had been expected. But seeing Xavier, who had taken his younger daughter away
from right under his nose, made his blood boil, he hadn’t been able to do anything about that. He had
been humiliated, now he was back, only this time with
his twin!
“Why are they here?!” Noah snarled, reliving his thrashing at the hands of Xavier.
“What exactly did you say?” The older Alpha, with his emerald eyes, arched his brows in challenge. Did
he have a death wish? He dared to bark at them? Noah averted his gaze from the dominant Alpha blood
who had meant to incinerate him with his eyes. f**k! He wanted to murder Xavier, but his wolf advised
him not to offend the Alpha.
“My Adira is at your pack house?” Martha’s mouth dropped to the floor in disbelief.
“Yes,” Zander answered the unasked question.
“But how and why?” She questioned, getting closer to him. She wasn’t sure which one was Zander and
which was Xavier. She had only heard they were twins, but she had only met Xavier once. Had he hurt
her? They’d already taken Kiara, now They’d taken Adira as well.
“Some of your pack wolves launched an attack on Adira. Kiara had gone to help her but had also put
herself in danger. Your older daughter got injured in the arm while your younger daughter went into heat
at the train station. We brought them to our pack, otherwise your son had brilliantly plotted to kill them,”
Zander remarked, giving a blood-thirsty stare to Noah.
“What?” Martha’s blood turned to ice when she heard of the heat and injury. Sawyer’s throat had also
become dry. Even though he despised Kiara, he was frightened at even having to consider how her heat
might have ruined her innocence if Xavier hadn’t been there to protect her in time. Not to mention Adira,
who had been hurt as well.
“My son planned to kill them?” Sawyer asked, returning his gaze to Noah, who was sweating profusely.
Martha was also staring at him. Even though he was terrified, he was determined to defend himself with
confidence.
“No, they’re accusing me. Why would I attempt to harm my sisters? I wasn’t even at the train station at
the time. I don’t know who those four wolves were….”
“You f*****g bastard!” Xavier punched Noah in the face. He collapsed on the ground, groaning and
clutching his broken nose.
“We never said that there were four wolves!” Xavier yelled, kicking him hard in the stomach. He had been
caught in their trap. His agonizing cry echoed in his parents’ ears, who had been stunned to learn the
truth.
“How could a brother ever consider hurting his sisters? You deceitful brat!” The old Alpha snarled,
wishing to
murder his stupid son, who was already whimpering on the ground. His claws had come out, he had
reached the point where he wished to end his son’s life.
“No! Don’t kill him, Sawyer,” Martha grabbed her mate’s arm.
“I don’t want any more bloodshed,” she pleaded, clutching his arm hard. She hadn’t shown mercy to her
son, but her heart couldn’t bear the thought of losing another child. Lewis, Kiara, and Adira had already
left her. She was completely broken. Sawyer’s legs buckled when he realized how badly he had
misjudged Adira. His daughter would not have run away from home if her Dad had not naively believed
his wicked son.
“You don’t want any more bloodshed but we do!” Zander yanked Noah up and landed at least five
punches to his stomach. The Luna was in tears, but she had no power to halt the Alpha twins. Due to
Noah’s actions, she felt like a failure of a mother. When her son was handed over to Xavier, who beat
him until he realized what he was holding then kicked him into the corner of the room like he was little
more than a piece of worthless trash.

a bull, taking long fierce breaths as he watched Noah weep in agony.

“Let him go. I’ll punish him myself,” Sawyer stated, earning Zader’s furious green-eyed gaze.
“How can you possibly punish him for hurting my mate?” He demanded, perplexing the Alpha and Luna.
“Your mate? Who?” Sawyer asked, looking between the brothers. He knew that the one who was talking
to him
was Zander.
“Adira. She is my soulmate,” the Alpha declared.
“What?” In total disbelief, Martha and Sawyer almost yelled. Their eyes were wide open, and their
mouths were gaping. How could this have happened? Did this mean that their younger daughter was
paired with the older twin and the older daughter was mated with the younger twin?! They had both of
their girls in their clutches?
With a blank look, Xavier moved a step closer to Sawyer. The elderly Alpha was nervous, unsure of what
he was about to face. The old Alpha no longer wielded any power.
“Once again, you struck gold, I am letting your son go. He should be killed, but I promised Kiara that I
would not hurt her family. However, that doesn’t mean that I have to forgive that dickhead. Now, after
your son’s latest transgression, if you declare him the next Alpha of the Ardara Moon Pack, I will
annihilate every living creature in this territory. You may choose whoever you want, but not your bumbling
son. Take it as a suggestion or warning. At the end of the day, the option is always yours. I will still be
ready to crush everything,” Xavier cautioned fiercely. The old egoist didn’t say a word, but he glanced
aside in rage. He had never tolerated being told what to do by others well. He was in a bad mood, and
the cause of it was his own son.
“I will never allow Noah to take his father’s position. He blew his chance the day he hurt my girls,” Martha
responded quietly but with utter determination. The Alpha twins offered a small respectful nod. Clearly,
their daughters had their mother’s qualities. She was the smartest of the Ardara Moon Pack’s members.
“But how are Adira and Kiara?” The Luna’s voice was hushed, her heart was aching. She was overjoyed
that they had become the Lunas of two mighty Alphas, but she couldn’t visit them now.
“They are fine,” Zander responded. Sawyer remained surly and unresponsive, despite Martha’s smile of
delight. That’s when Martha’s gaze was drawn to Xavier, who was glancing upstairs. Zander returned his
gaze to his brother, only to discover that he was ascending the steps.
“Where are you going?” Zander mind-linked his brother. They were supposed to leave, but he went into
the pack house instead. It was already morning. Lena had been taking care of Adira, who had still been
unconscious when they
left. Xavier had ordered Jennifer to stay in his room before leaving the Sirius Bright Pack so that Kiara
would not
leave his room. Her heat hadn’t returned yet, but he couldn’t take any chances when he’d come here to
deal with Noah. They needed to return home as soon as possible, but the Alpha had some other plans.
“To complete some unfinished business. Wait for me,” Xavier responded, leaving his brother perplexed.
What was he up to?
