Natalie smiled.
In such a relaxed atmosphere, it was easy for people to unwind. She felt like attending early education
classes wasn't just for the children's sake! More than that, it was about easing the postpartum mood for
moms.
"Is it really like that?"
"Yes! When you have one child, it feels so easy. Then you have another one, thinking it'll be fun, but it
turns out the child ends up playing you."
"Hahaha! Exactly! Don't underestimate babies! They'll really make you understand what it means to
voluntarily give up yourself!"
Voluntarily give up oneself?
Was having a second child really that bad?
At this moment, Natalie also noticed that many second-time mothers weren't wearing makeup.
Having one child was already enough to keep one busy. After having a second child, it got even busier,
and going out became a hurried and chaotic affair.
"After listening to you all, I'm definitely not having a second child," Natalie said with a laugh.
The group of people continued chatting comfortably.
On the surface, they were all laughing and joking, but no one knew what they were really going through
in their hearts.
It was the same for Natalie. She... was unwilling to have a second child, but it wasn't like she would get
a chance anyway, right?
Natalie had to admit that she never thought about this issue before. Now that she thought about it, she
couldn't help but feel a bit...!
Luna really liked her classes. On their way home, Luna said softly, "Mommy, remember to bring me
early tomorrow. We were ten minutes late today."
Natalie was silent.
Were children nowadays so conscious of time?
She looked at Luna and said, "Alright!"
In her tone, there was nothing but relief and indulgence.
In the beginning, Natalie was worried that Luna wouldn't adapt, but now it seemed she could
completely relax.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtChildren would only actively participate in something when they really liked it. They would refuse to go
if they disliked it!
So, it seemed that Natalie didn't need to worry about that.
At least for now, it seemed there wouldn't be any problems when Luna started kindergarten in the
future. -
Back at Lotus Villa, Heather had already prepared lunch. Although they had some snacks at the
education center in the morning, they were still hungry.
"How was it?" Heather asked Natalie.
Natalie felt it had gone pretty well.
"I have to go to the studio in the afternoon, so you can play with her then."
"Okay."
Heather looked at Natalie, who now seemed completely back to normal, and felt very relieved.
Being able to let go of the past was Natalie's greatest redemption and forgiveness to herself. So,
seeing her in better shape now was quite reassuring.
"Nat."
"Yeah?"
"Do you like that person?"
"Who?"
After Natalie had asked that, she realized who Heather was referring to. The only person Heather could
be talking about was Irwin.
And when Irwin was mentioned, Natalie's expression couldn't help but darken.
Natalie took a deep breath and said, "It doesn't matter if I like him or not. Everything between us is
over!"
Natalie's words were firm.
Heather fell silent. When she heard Natalie's answer, she was stunned!
Ultimately, she guessed right. In Natalie's mind, she didn't want to be too involved with either Irwin or
Cedric.
This was the best evidence of that now.
Natalie looked at Heather. "What's wrong?"
"It's good to be clear about these things!"
Although Cedric made such a big sacrifice for Natalie this time, they both knew that Natalie couldn't
find out about it.
Once Natalie knew, who knows what would happen!
They had gone through too much and understood what they had to endure for it.
Heather really didn't want Natalie to get involved in such things anymore.
It wasn't because Heather was ungrateful that she thought this way.
But having witnessed a person who had truly experienced such things, Heather understood that
forgiveness shouldn't be spoken so lightly, especially by those who hadn't encountered such pain and
despair.
Right now, Heather knew that if Natalie discovered the truth about what Cedric had done, it would only
cause her more pain!
There wouldn't even be a question of forgiveness or not.
And Natalie wasn't a fool. She seemed to sense something, especially given the magnitude of the
situation in Wexford.
There was no way she wouldn't have any doubts!
But no matter how she doubted or suspected, she never thought in that direction.
After lunch, Natalie was truly busy in the studio. It was likely because of her personality. Even though
the studio was under Regal Horizons International, which belonged to her father and brother, she
treated her work very seriously and diligently.
The studio already had several people working in it. Clyde had recruited them all, and they were all
very reliable.
And her work officially began. With new people and a new work environment, she bid farewell to the
past completely!
Just then, her phone vibrated. It was a message notification. Natalie picked up her phone and checked.
It wasn't a message. Someone had requested to send her a message, and she had to approve it.
Natalie frowned. She wasn't too used to unknown people sending her messages, but she accepted it
nonetheless. And when she confirmed it, the person sent her a few invoices.
When she saw the invoices, Natalie instantly remembered who it was. It was the person she had
collided with before, the one whose car she had damaged.
[Please send me your account number.] Natalie typed rapidly and sent it to the person.
The other side replied directly, [Deliver it to Orchid Bay.]
Natalie frowned!
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe person was asking her to deliver the money to Orchid Bay?
In this day and age, wasn't a bank transfer more convenient? Obviously, Natalie couldn't understand
the other party's request.
She replied, [Let's stick with bank transfer.]
However, after sending the message, there was no response whatsoever. No matter how many
messages Natalie sent afterward, the other party didn't give her a single reply.
"This person is so...! Ugh!" Natalie muttered as she slammed her phone heavily on the table.
She couldn't help but wonder if people nowadays were all so strange. Especially the ones she
encountered now, at least in her opinion, were absolutely eccentric!
Send money over in person? Who had the time for that?
Or was this person still using cash in this day and age? Did this person completely refuse to accept
new payment methods?
It was possible, she supposed. Otherwise, why wouldn't they even give her an account number?
She didn't bother anymore.
Throughout the afternoon, Natalie was busy designing blueprints. Recently, Regal Horizons
International picked up a project in Simeria. Because of that, she naturally needed to devote more time
and energy to it.
After all, Regal Horizons International had an international reputation, so they were more cautious.
As she was about to finish work, her phone vibrated. Natalie picked it up and saw that it was a call from
Caleb.
Caleb?
She answered, "Hello, Caleb."
Her tone softened involuntarily. Obviously, it was because of the trouble she caused him during the
previous mishap!
Natalie hadn't expected Caleb to call her after returning to Verde City.
"I'm in Simeria, but I can't reach the person who was supposed to pick me up. Can you come and get
me?"
Natalie fell silent.
Caleb couldn't reach the person who was supposed to pick him up?
