Rebecca choked up as she looked at Irwin, Cedric's sworn enemy.
Or at least... that was what she thought!
"Will you really help me?"
Would he really? None of those who seemed to have a good relationship before ever helped her once,
so would Irwin... really lend her a hand?
Irwin nodded. "Of course!"
"Why?"
Although Rebecca's mind was in chaos now, she wasn't foolish!
Everything that Cedric had in Wexford had been handed over to Irwin. Why would Cedric do that!?
Everyone who knew about it was confused. They also wanted to know the reason.
Rebecca didn't know what happened in Wexford. She only knew that before Cedric disappeared, things
were chaotic. All the major families were involved, making it impossible to see the situation clearly.
But she never anticipated the Cedric would suddenly disappear. He should have completely controlled
Wexford, so why did he suddenly throw everything away?
Why did he give it all to Irwin and disappear?
"You just have to wait for news about him," Irwin said when Rebecca asked why.
He didn't answer. He couldn't disclose anything and simply just told Rebecca to wait for news.
Rebecca fell silent.
He told her to just wait...!
Only those who have waited would know how cruel and desperate waiting could be.
Rebecca couldn't remember how much of her life she had spent waiting. If she could choose, waiting
would be the last thing she would want to do.
Waiting was truly terrifying and cruel to her.
But now, what other options did she have besides waiting?!
In recent days, she had been as frantic as a lunatic as she tried to find Cedric, but each effort ended in

But could she really trust Irwin?
When Irwin was in Verde City, he had turned everything upside down to get in between Cedric and
Natalie.
Could she really trust such an adversary? -
Natalie called for a driver to pick her up, then went straight back to Lotus Villa.
When Heather saw Natalie return, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Weren't you supposed to be at Hillside Villa?"
Rebecca knew about Lotus Villa, and Heather was worried that she might return anytime.
"Rebecca went to Maple Peak!"
"Maple Peak?" Heather repeated.
Was it Irwin?
"I've already seen her," Natalie replied.
Heather's expression turned worried upon hearing that Rebecca was at Maple Peak.
"Did she do anything to you?" She scrutinized Natalie carefully, but couldn't see any signs of distress.
However, considering Rebecca's madness, Heather remained concerned. Especially now, with Cedric
missing, Rebecca was capable of anything.
Seeing the concern in Heather's eyes, Natalie felt a twinge of guilt.
"Don't worry, Mom. She didn't do anything to me."
"That's good."
A mother who had lost her child could go mad and lose her senses! Although Cedric volunteered for
this, Rebecca might wish to gouge out Natalie's eyes if she found out!
And Cedric was seriously...!
Perhaps he had given up all hope with Rebecca, or his accumulated resentment against her had
reached its peak. So, he only took Kayla when he left and didn't bother about Rebecca.
Did he intend on living out the rest of his life without seeing Rebecca again?
For a mother to have left such an impression on her child showed that it hadn't happened over a short
period of time, and it definitely wasn't due to only one or two incidents.
"Be careful during your time in Simeria. Have Lawrence accompany you, okay?"
Lawrence Yarrow was one of the elite security guards of the Jarvis family. He was skilled, and Heather
knew Natalie would be safer with him by her side.
"Don't worry so much about it," Natalie said.
"Be cautious when necessary; Rebecca isn't a good person. I've seen that."
"Okay."
If this could reassure her family, Natalie was okay with whatever they did.
Seeing her nod, Heather felt somewhat relieved.
Natalie thought for a moment and asked Heather,
"What about Leon?"
Previously, Leon had gone to Wexford. But now that things in Wexford have escalated, what was he
still doing there? Since Stephen didn't want to be involved there, Natalie didn't see why Leon needed to
remain in Wexford.
"He's still in Wexford," Heather replied.
"Oh, okay."
He was still in Wexford!
Natalie didn't inquire further about what he was doing there, as it was not important to her.
It was good to have men at home. That way, women didn't need to worry too much.
Since Clyde returned, Natalie felt much lighter. When all the responsibilities were pressing down on her
before, it felt like she couldn't breathe.
-
Luna was always happy when she was with Natalie, and Natalie felt that Luna's smile was a healing
balm on her soul.
"Sweetie, do you want to attend early education classes with Mommy?" Natalie asked.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIn fact, Lunad used to attend early education classes. But because of Cedric's actions, the entire Jarvis
family had become vigilant. After Cedric had taken Natalie away to Yuloria, Heather had worried about
any mishaps with Luna, so she kept her indoors all the time.
But it wasn't good to keep a child indoors all the time. Just because there was danger outside didn't
mean a child shouldn't go out at all.
There was still so much for Luna to learn!
"Okay." Luna nodded eagerly, and Natalie smiled.
Having Luna attend early education classes was so she could attend a good kindergarten in the future.
It was also so Luna could participate in activities and socialize with other children early on.
Although Natalie currently worked for a design studio under Regal Horizons International and provided
various design plans for the company, she had more time to spend with her child, thanks to Clyde.
Previously, when Natalie attended early education classes with Luna, her eyesight wasn't very good.
Because of that, she couldn't see the other parents around her clearly and didn't chat much with them.
But now she could see clearly.
Confidence filled her face, and she slowly mingled with the other parents this time. As she conversed
with them, she learned that many of the parents were already raising a second child in their families.
As the women started to get comfortable with each other, the subject of their conversations also
became more casual.
"Have you thought about also having a second child, Natalie?"
Natalie was initially stunned at the question.
The woman who had asked the question seemed to sense Natalie's awkwardness and kindly changed
the subject, "Don't even think about a second child. It's too painful!"
"Once the child comes into the world, there's no room for regret! A child is not something you can
return."
"Is that so?"
"Of course, even though there may be help at home, the child is yours, and you have to do many things
yourself. People say that love makes women lose themselves, but I think it's having children that really
makes women lose themselves!"
