Chapter 126 Are Kids Nowadays All This Annoying? Declan was about ready to deck Cameron, but Landon stepped in just in time.
"Chill out, Declan. Look, kid, we'll cover the tab this time, but don't let us catch you around Ms. Bennett again. This is Skycrest, not your playground. Got it?" Landon said, pulling Declan away. Back at their table, Declan was still fuming. "Are all kids this annoying these days?" Alexander laughed, taking a sip of his water. "Just ignore him. Don't let srandom kid ruin your night." Alexander's dismissive attitude only made Cameron more pissed off.
Cameron's anger was written all over his face, which Landon found pretty funny.
"I heard they call Cameron 'the Wild Wolf' in his family," Landon whispered.
Declan raised an eyebrow. "Why's that?" "Because he bites everyone he meets. Rumor has it, he even bit his own dad to death!" Landon said. Declan nearly spat out his drink. He couldn't believe such a young kid could be so dangerous.
Allison cout with the food and didn't seem surprised to see Cameron there.
Mia, on the other hand, was all excited. "Cameron, what a coincidence! You here for a late-night snack too?" Cameron smiled and nodded, his polite act making Declan and the others grind their teeth.
"I ordered a lot. Want to join me?" Cameron asked, looking at Allison.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAllison put down the dishes and shook her head. "Sorry, I can't eat with customers while I'm working. Enjoy your meal!" As she turned to leave, Alexander grabbed her wrist gently.
"You okay? Need a break? You're sweating," Alexander said, pulling out a handkerchief to wipe her forehead. "Just a bit more, and we're done. Your food will be out last," Allison said with a smile.
Alexander nodded and let her go back to work.
Mia and Allison were busy serving customers, but Alexander's eyes never left Allison. Cameron sat alone at his table, surrounded by a ton of food, looking pretty lonely.
Cameron was actually a germaphobe and didn't think the food here would be any good. He was just curious why Allison would work at a place like this.
"Why aren't you eating? Think I poisoned it?" Allison's voice broke his thoughts, making him look up and smile. "Con, Allison. I know you wouldn't poison it. I'm just curious why you guys like this kind of food," Cameron said.
"It's just that they have a unique flavor and texture that we really enjoy. It's a bit of an acquired taste, but once you get used to it, it's delicious. Why don't you give it a try?" Allison said. Since the meal was already paid for, Allison turned to leave but then cback.
"The owner here hates food waste. If you don't eat, you'll end up on the blacklist. Enjoy your meal, Cameron!" she said with a smile before walking away.
Cameron looked at the food in front of him, clearly troubled. Eventually, he called in a couple of people to help him out.
"Eat all this food!" Cameron said to his two bodyguards, who looked like kids on Christmas morning. "Really, Mr. Simmons? All this for us?" one of them asked, eyes wide.
Cameron just crossed his arms, clearly not in the mood.
Seeing his expression, the bodyguards didn't ask any more questions and began devouring the food as if they hadn't eaten in days.
As the plates emptied, the bodyguards were satisfied, but Cameron's mood only soured.
'These people are all so weird,' Cameron thought, his eyes narrowing as he glanced at Allison again.
He got up and left, his bodyguards scrambling to follow. Once they were in the car, Cameron spoke up, "Find a way to get that girl. The sooner, the better!" "But Mr. Simmons, you saw it too. That girl is under Alexander's protection. Snatching her won't be easy," one of the bodyguards said, looking worried. "If you can't do it, you might as well be dead," Cameron said, closing his eyes.
The bodyguards exchanged a nervous glance and quickly drove off.
When Allison and the others finished their shift, Hunter cover with a tray, grinning from ear to ear.
"Hunter, you look like you just won the lottery," Declan teased.

"Hunter, Kismet thinks you have a great palate for spices, so he's going to teach you. But how much you learn is up to you!" With that, Allison sat down next to Alexander. After two hours of work, she was drenched in sweat.
Alexander gently wiped her forehead and handed her a bowl of soup. "Have ssoup first. Eating too much at night isn't good for you. Just a little, and then we'll head home." Declan and Landon paused their eating, watching Alexander and Allison like they were an old married couple.
"You two serious? Living together? When's the engagement or wedding? Mr. Carter's been pushing for it. Just tie the knot already!" Declan said.
Alexander's face darkened.
Allison felt a bit awkward. She was still young, after all.
"Allison's still young. No need to rush," Alexander said.
"Why not rush? I heard your dad's setting up another match for you. You haven't even introduced MSM Bennett to your parents yet. Your dad probably thinks you're just messing around," Declan said bluntly.
Alexander shot him a look, and Declan got the message.
"Ms. Bennett, I know you're young, and marriage might seem far off, but Alexander's almost thirty, and his dad's pushing for for not fair to leave him hanging without a proper status, right?" Declan's teasing made Allison blush. Allison had thought about it and felt it was too soon. But looking at Alexander, she felt torn. "Don't listen to him. I'm fine. Just do what feels right for you, no pressure," Alexander reassured her.
