Was he choosing to ignore her again?

It was obvious that he was being biased! If something happened to that woman, he would be there for her in a

second! However, when something happened to her, why wasn't he the same? Was that woman's petty

argument on the street more important than her heart

After clenching and unclenching her fists a few times, Selena then ordered, "Drive!"

Since he chose to ignore her feelings, he shouldn't blher for what would cnext!

He would never behave like that in the past!

She call the way to see him, and yet he chose to ignore her!

An idea flashed in her head and she suddenly cto a realization. She couldn't help muttering bitterly to

herself, "That's right, he was clearly not like this in the past..."

Didn't he say that he valued relationship the most? Even if he chose to ignore the special bond they had, she

was still his beloved cousin! He had said previously that she was more important than a sister to him, and he

would care for her specially, going the extra mile for her! Unconsciously, she glanced back, and her eyes were

fixated at the window of the mansion which was dark then. She thought to herself, "Could it be that that woman

has done or said something to change his mind? Is it a black magic?"

That must be it! Obviously she was the one who was closer to Trevor first, yet Victoria managed to snatch his

attention away from her. Didn't she know that everything she had then actually belonged to her?

If it weren't for the fact that Selena and Trevor were related biologically, Victoria wouldn't even stand a chance!

Selena clenched her fists and her knuckles cracked loudly. That time, she didn't lose her temper, instead she just

sat in silence.

On that day in the Maltrich International Condominium, a sumptuous dinner was being prepared. Willy also

purposely brought over a few pots of flowers.

"What is this?"

Willy had paid her several visits for the past few days. Every the went, he would bring gifts and food.

However, as far as she could remember, it was the first the had brought her flowers, and they weren't even

in a bouquet, but in pots! They were sbeautiful white flowers in pots, and sin bunches, all very

beautiful. Looking around, Lauren pointed at a corner beside the TV cabinet.

"What beautiful flowers! Why did you suddenly think of giving this to me?"

Was it because she was pregnant and couldn't keep any pets? After fiddling with the flowers, Lauren suddenly

remembered Tutu which she brought home. He had given her the sexcuse and taken the dog to his

mansion. If she wanted to visit Tutu, she'd had to go all the way to his place. It had been sometsince she saw

Tutu, and she missed the silly puppy dearly.

However, since it was a special tthat she was pregnant, Lauren didn't dare to risk it and be wilful even

though she wasn't exactly agreeable.

Stepping forward, Willy hugged her from behind and said, "These are white pea lilies. They bear the meaning of

smooth success!"

She stopped fiddling with the flowers for a moment, and she turned back and looked at him. Lauren instantly

realized that the trial would be on the next day! No wonder, he had suddenly sent her the pot of flower. It turns

out that there was a meaning behind it. When their eyes met, Willy raised his hand and pinched her small plump

face, "Are you nervous?"

Sighing, Lauren nodded. It would be a lie if she said she wasn't. After all, this was a matter of her life!

Even though she was innocent and had a clear conscience, she was also convinced that the law wouldn't let

anyone go, if she couldn't escape the sentence, she was afraid that after giving birth, she would need to return

to jail. God knows how long it would take for justice to prevail. After all, it could be a long journey. Moreover, until

the final decision was made, no one knew exactly what the outcwould be.

She could only blherself for giving too many self-incriminating statements back then!

Subconsciously, Lauren touched her belly. The pressure she felt in her heart was immense!

Willy had noticed her actions. He too was worried about the sthing. Although they had used medications to

alter her ultrasound scans, but she was really pregnant! The medications could only help them temporary but

soon enough, they wouldn't be able to hide it anymore. Therefore, they had to solve all the problems before the

year ended, no matter what!

Initially, they had intended to delay it only for a month or two so that she'd get used to having Willy by her side.

He never imagined for that the

case got delayed until then.

Willy gave her a comforting hug and lowered his head to kiss her forehead.

"Take it easy, and just focus on the baby. Withhere, no one will dare to mess with you! No matter what

happened, the lawyer will fight for your rights as much as possible!

Not knowing what to say, Lauren just smiled lightly. She glanced at the white pea lilies from the corner of her

eyes and prayed secretly in her heart.

"I hope everything goes well!" She mumbled in her heart.

"Con, let's go and have dinner! Tonight, we'll just prepare something simple at home. After we win the case,

I'll take you out to celebrate."

At the dining table, the two of them enjoyed a quiet meal without any disturbance. As they ate, Willy continued

to comfort her, which made Lauren's lonely soul feel a sense of belonging and warmth for the first time. As the

sun rose, it was yet another sunny day.

On that day, before going to the office, Trevor went to Selena's apartment first. Strangely, after arranging for the

doctor to see her the day before, she hadn't called him or texted him again.

In fact, Trevor was not used to her being so quiet. Also, because he had neglected her the day before, he felt

slightly guilty. Hence, he had brought Selena's favorite breakfast when he visited her that morning.

As soon as he entered the door, he handed it over to Nina.

"Is she feeling better?"

all right?" Knowing that he couldn't force her, Trevor nodded and said, "Okay!" "Are you busy? I'm fine. Don't

Trevor had intended to sit for a while more and have breakfast with her. Unexpectedly, before Trevor could offer

to do so, he was driven out of the house by her.

After reminding Nina about a few more things, Trevor was about to leave when he smelled a familiar fragrance as

he turned around. Looking back, Trevor glanced at Nina again unconsciously before walking off. Why was the

fragrance so familiar? Had he smelled it before somewhere?
